   Bit of a necro post but:
   
   Ok, so very Newby question, So I'm very new to all this, but I was looking at the image, that's the oblivion.ini file right? 
   
   turning off auto detect in the main ini sounds like a terrible idea, I feel like a lot of stuff could go permanently wrong?

      Mod only edit fDecalLifetime, selected line on oblivion.ini example image.
      
      "bNoAutodetect=0" has nothing to do with the mod, I added for myself to prevent game launcher reset settings after updating the video card driver.

   For the ignorant, what is the decal lifetime thing? How does it affect my game?

      It's how is long blood stay on the ground. Oblivion revert this value to 10 sec when u change settings in ingame video menu or reset video options in launcher.
