I had a lot of trouble getting this mod to work and I just found out that it was because Oblivion Reloaded's grass shader completely removes these flowers.
In the Oblivion Reloaded .ini file, look for the [Shaders] part, then set grass to 0.
The downside of doing this is that if you're using the shadow mode from OBR (adds shadows for buildings, objects and trees), then the trees will cast shadows but the grass underneath won't have shadows of it's own so it will be bright green.
One thing that may work in this case is to turn off the shadows for trees under [ShadowMode] and use the default tree shadows instead.
Hope that spares someone else the multiple headaches I had to go through to get this to work, but I must say it was totally worth it. :)
I also didn’t see any flowers in the game, and disabling the grass shader setting in ORC (v2.1.6) had no effect. Adjusting the flower density in xEdit for different flower types (from 25 to 35) resolved the issue, as others said, and the grass shader in ORC works seamlessly with flowers.
Im having an issue where whenever I cast a spell, the flowers grow in size (they get taller) and brightness.... As well as changing in size and brightness when I turn my camera to certain angles. I have it loaded after enhanced vegetation... What could be causing this and how can I remedy it. Could it be Oblivion Reloaded Combined? Is it not compatible with Oblivion grass overhaul?
I'm almost sure that has to be a mod like Oblivion Reloaded, yes. Check if there's any grass related settings/shaders you can turn off. I haven't used a new version of OR myself in years, and never heard of something like this before.
I figured out it is caused by ORC changing the grass scaling to below 1.0000 on all Axis, go to ORC config menu or Grass INI and Change the Grass scalings to 1.0000
Uploaded a bunch of pics of it in use late day in the rain (no other grass mods aside fro some retextures) it perfectly fills in the empty feeling some areas left for me and brings a bit of colour where its needed a perfect fit for my ranger who spends most of her time in the wilds. I used the density 50 file to get them to show, thanks :D
well ... the mod just doesn't work for me anymore I managed to install it once without any problem like MO2, then I installed L&G revisited and it didn't work anymore. So I reinstalled the game with just FarCry and Let there be Flower, but now it does not recognize any ini.iMaxGrassTypesPerTexure=5 whether by Wryebash in Mo2 or in MyGames, 5 all but the grass always remains dark and zebra with far cry :/someone knows something ?
I first used the optional esp (with the higher density) and put it underneath Lush & Gaudy in the load order. Turned my game into Plant World, ruled by flowers. No good. I then switched to the main esp and put it above L&G's esps, and things normalized to where there's only mildly heavy concentrations of flowers in certain areas, and none in others as it should be. Some flowers look pretty fake up close, like cardboard cutouts, but from afar they're okay and this is most likely the best anyone can do in a game this old. The esp is mergeable so you don't lose a slot, can't beat that.
It does require some tweaking in Oblivion Reloaded's settings, which affects some things negatively (grass and/or shadows) no matter how you set it for this mod.
Great mod. The flowers look beautiful, especially in the Colovian Highlands. I had trouble getting it to work until I tried the optional file, now it works like a charm. I'm using BlackDragon's low poly grass and the two mods work fine together.
