Hello I just installed the mod and started a new character. When I right click on the armor it tells me the name and current morph (without touching the shift or control key) but no menu pops up, and that would be fine but the real issue is that it immediately changes the appearance of the armor and doesn't consume the armor I'm trying to feed it. If I'm doing something wrong or this was addressed please let me know. Thanks and hope this made sense.
roll back to OBSE 21 the mod will have to be updated (or more likely remade from scratch considering how Oblivion is) for the newest version which i doubt'll happen as the last update was 4 years ago (and if i was the mod author i wouldn't want to remake my mod just because for some baffling reason the team behind the script extender decided to update it) same with the growth weapon (you also will have to replace LINK++ with LINK) and yes after rigorous testing i can confirm it's because of the latest OBSE update though thankfully with the permissions another Modder could take up the task
Great mod, but I'm getting a bug where my armor is unequipped when I load a save. Also, the armor stops appearing on my character when it levels up. Is there a way to fix this?
there is a seperate Bug Fix Mod/"Update" that helps with the Armor getting unequipped. Check the Files Section, scroll down to Potential Permanent Enchantment Fix. Also, obviously, helps with Permanent Enchantment.
so maybe i'm misreading something but i could've sworn you can disable the deleveling feature (it gets annoying to constantly have to grind back up from level 1 when zefiros breaks from 2 hits from a deadroth (note i haven't changed it from the default) though i attribute this to Oblivion's broken level scaling and not that the armor just has low durability)
This mod is great! I only have one problem the plate armor and black plate neck guard is visible in first person and covers up a lot of the camera in first person
Amazing mod! One problem that I found in my playthroughs is that sometimes the armor enchants become permanent. Itis really a recurring problem when using the item, especially in the late game with a greater amount of effects it becomes increasingly problematic. Is there a way to prevent it? I'm one of those player that like the game to be at least challenging so these bugs really break it for me.
This is the second report of something similar happening, but I was unable to replicate this bug even with a clean load order. That leads me to believe this is a conflict with another mod. So, what other mods are you running?
You might be right, it usually happens when i enter a new stance or when i get stuck in some loop during a difficult fight where i need to reload or make several quicksaves. What i found is that it usually happens in these moments, there's a delay between the armor being loaded and it usually bugs in that moment. It is like the armor gets loaded 2 times, which lead to it becoming a permanent buff to the character. I will clean the mods and retest to see if it's the other mods. I have more than a 100 mods, it will be hard to determine where the incompability lies, and i do use nexus mod to install the mods.
I've tested with no mods and the same thing happens sometimes, when I reload the game several times in that brief pause where the armor is loading and changes forms is where the bug happens.
This is what I need at this point. Seeing as you've downloaded the patch and still posted your load order, I assume it didn't work? I'll sort the other tweak I have in mind and upload that later (within 24h). For now, another person's load order would be fantastic because I can greatly narrow it down to shared mods.
At the moment, Enchantment Mastery and Consume Enchantments stand out based on their names alone.
Enchantment mastery merely allows to add enchantments to already enchanted items (I have never done this to any of the Zefiros items though as I am fully aware it would change the referenceID of the item and I am pretty sure that would break the items connection to the scripts).
I also thought consume enchantments might be the problem so I uninstalled it and played for a few days and still noted the problem happening with the permanent enchantment stacking, so I am fairly sure it isn't this one either. I also tried removing Av Latta Magicka and Oblivion magic extender which change the way alot of magic systems and effects work, and this did have an interesting effect of making the feather enchantment from Zefiros stop stacking, but the Health and Magicka enchantments continued to stack.
Feather enchantment is really buggy just on its own. Best practice is to have only one source of it. The engine just gets confused with multiple sources.
Consume Enchantments seems like the likely candidate. What's going on with the bug sounds like what that mod does, just its triggering without consent and not deleting Zefiros. The effects sticking around after uninstall is explainable by them being baked into your save and nothing to remove them, but if they continue to gain stacks it really could be an obscure bug with my code. ...or an engine/OBSE bug.
Either way, I've uploaded my second tweak for this. I still can't reproduce the bug on my own, so actual testing will have to be left to you. Your detailed report of the bug narrowed down the code area to the initialization block, which runs every time a save is loaded. I rearranged the ordering of enchantment related lines (simple ordering has caused bugs in other areas in the past).
Have tried the new fix, still getting new stacks. And yes I had disabled consume enchantments for a long time and was still seeing new stacks show up with the consume enchantments mod disabled so I am fairly sure it is not the cause, not to mention I do not believe it is a very popular mod so I kind of doubt this other user has it as well and if they are having the same issue it is probably something more widely used. Hopefully the other user can reply with their mod list so we can narrow it down to any shared mods.
I've uploaded a new attempt at a patch. This time I moved the unequip commands to as early as possible and rewrote how the enchantments are rebuilt. This isn't going to remove the stacks you already have (or at least I don't expect it to), but it should prevent new stacks from occurring ...if it works.
It still appears to be stacking even with this new 3rd fix, I am trying on a old save I guess later I can try a fresh save incase its something baked in but I wouldn't think it would be.
I have 1 final tweak I can think of, which will disable what keeps enchantment effects ordered. I'll put it out after you report back on v3, but if that doesn't work, I give up. I can't fix this from my end.
Yeah thats fine I would say don't bother until we get someone else with issue posting mod list then can look at mods in common see if we can figure out which one doesn't play nice.
Ran into the same problem. There is a workaround, I believe - you can load up a save and then load it again, and this seems to avoid the effect duplication. Not very useful for people who have gone on without noticing for a while, but still.
I love this armour set. The problem I've encountered though is: If I am using xOBSE: if I try to morph the armour into a set, that has less pieces in it, the game CTDs. IF I use normal OBSE, it works perfectly fine. Any way this can be fixed?
Hi I just downloaded both this mod and the growth weapon dusfergon and they dont seem to show up in game. The other mods I installed do show up is there something I am doing wrong a little help would be greatly appreciated.
Assuming the mod is enabled and the level tracking global, aaZefirosLevel, is set to 0, the armor set will be automatically added to your inventory once Oblivion runs the scripts.

It's fixable in nifscope if use the flip normal option and the face normal option.

There's one more tweak I can think of that might help, but one change at a time.
