  1. Do I need to set custom caps for the mod to work? If so, how do I do that? If not, what is the default cap? I have no idea what an ini file is. I downloaded through Vortex. I'm not a computer person, my apologies.

Thanks. I'm not usually disciplined enough to refrain from abusing the game design weaknesses of Oblivion to the point where my character becomes overpowered and It stops being fun to play. This helps.

Another wonderful qol mod Push. Thank you! I'd like to ask though, is there a chance to make it so that it displays the cap accurately at the active effects hud? Been wanting to share my modpack privately among friends and i can see how dissonance between display and function might confuse them.

good mod but after trying to uninstall on my orc everyone can see me on chameleon from when I set it to 99%, even after following uninstall instructions....

I removed chameleon buff before saving and exiting and removed all my magic resistance buffs(enchanted items)....  I even did set afSpellCapQuest.IchamCap to 100 in console cause I have ran out of solutions cause I dont have any mod experience but I still use mods (none of them conflict or change scripts with chameleon or sneaking to cause this)

maybe its my orc racial (25% MAGIC resist causing problems)?!?!?!  SOME HELP would be nice ty.

and TY for nice mod besides this problem that may have ruined my character I took very long to work on :/  just wanna set chameleon back to normal so people cant see me when I use the spell. thanks for your time and reading. :)

edit : had to use the other chameleon rebalance mod and type set IMPCL to 100  to solve my Spell Issue and revert it to normal 100% !!! everything is fine now on every single save and when I made a new game :) although, im unclear on what made this happen even after uninstalling the Esp and config file that comes with it :O  however, this mod is still  good IMO and im gonna keep it forever in case I need that extra difficulty on my chameleon !

How performance-heavy is the script? Is it polling in the background, running after X seconds, or is it only fired when the actor values change?

I believe the interval is 1 second (it’s been a while), but I always use the concept of exiting execution as soon as possible; therefore, most the code won’t run if your actor values haven’t changed.

Don’t worry: I’m probably in the top percentile of scripters for this game by this point, lol.

Good to see a mod like this that only effects the PC and doesn't break NPC immunities.

I don't understand what exactly does this mod. Can someone explain me with more detail, please? It looks interesting but I don't know what it will change

The effects listed in the description can go up to 100% in the vanilla game, which makes you completely invisible/immune to certain types of damage. In some cases this is very easy to achieve through enchanting or commonly-found magic items. This mod adds customisable caps to these effects so they can only go up to 75%, for instance.

Exactly what I was looking for, thank you.

I have been using Magick Overlap (https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/14871), but that one seems to fail when there are many actors in battle and my fps are low. Yours is much lighter and it gets similar results.
