Broken Mod. Downloading immediately breaks all the Spellmaking / Enchanting Altars, and the added shop doesnt work. ALL Altars require you to be a specific "rank" to use them but the issue is, both on an old save that was already grand champ, and a new save where i did the entire questline, neither would let me use any altar after i became the grand champ.
Does anyone know if this mod works with More Options in the Arena https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/51152 and Arena Ending Extended https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/53497?tab=posts
Been having a bug. Even though I am the grand champion the enchanting alters still say not yet accomplished. Even worst every enchanting altar is now saying this as well.
Here's the fix: use TES4Edit to delete the two enchanting scripts out of this mod. The mod creator meant to make unique scripts for the arena chanting altars but accidentally ended up editing the vanilla scripts used by all vanilla enchanting altars. Considering what a large effect on the game this mistakes makes, I'm shocked the author missed it.
Mod seems to inadvertently replace the Vanilla Script with the new one, the script has a new name but looks like it's the same formID thus breaking every Altar in the game. Not sure if the script is bugged additionally, as some seem to report ranking up doesn't fix it but this is a major issue alone.
Edit: I've "fixed" locally it by reverting the scripts back to vanilla, with Creation Set but had to go in and copy the contents of the original scripts. Even the "no altars" version looks to have this change.
WOW SO THAT'S WHY I COULD NEVER USE ENCHANTING ALTARS??? What a huge oversight on the part of the mod creator. I suggest all users to use TES4Edit to delete the two enchanting scripts out of this mod.
Nice mod, but the barbarians in the arena aren't part of their team factions so the fight is over once the gladiators die even if the barbarians are still going at it. I don't know how to fix that but it's less immersive.
This mod doesn't add any combatants to the arena. It only adds mostly cosmetic changes. There are some dialog options, but those trigger the existing vanilla events. Maybe you have other mods causing this.
I am experiencing the same issue as the post below. LOOT sorts Better Imperial City.esp to load before this mod. That seems to be most of the issue. Have you considered submitting something to LOOT about that? I thought it was working but then the game kept crashing. Soon I will be attempting this again. Am I correct that I only need the Arena Alive BC Compatible COBL patch.esp? Yes, of course I have COBL and BC. My confusion came from the fact that you used the word Patch in the title of the esp. When I see Patch, I assume that it is an addition or fix to something supposed to be loaded immediately before it. Seems in this case it is the entire mod. So far this is the only issue out of the 250+ mods I installed which luckily I find rather humorous.
For me LOOT sorts this mod towards the top of my mod list and Better Imperial City towards the bottom. If LOOT keeps sorting this before BC IC, just edit Arena Alive's metadata in LOOT. Set it to always load after BC IC.
The reason he won't sell items is simple: He has no class assigned.
He is meant to use a cust "Arena Blacksmith" class, which will allow him to buy and sell, but he has nothing assigned to him. Simply assign the class to his NPC record in TES4Edit or the construction set.
Everything seems to work fine except for the fact that the arena is buried like 1 meter in the ground so it's impossible to enter without using the TLC command, I have better cities and it seems the compatibility part is not working as intended. First time using both mods so I don't know how better cities arena district is supposed to look, but mine doesn't have the classic stairs before the arena, so because of the flat ground the entrance is blocked by the floor. what can I do?
I have entered the arena district while using Arena Alive and Better Cities multiple times and never encountered this... until now. Now I'm desperately checking all my mods until I find the cause.
UPDATE: I found the cause on my end. I downloaded the HGEC Female Vampire Ranger costume mod. It places a chest in the market district with the mod's items. With Better Cities installed, the chest is found floating and stuck in a wall. I moved the chest out of the wall and onto the floor. I don't know if my edit to the mod caused this, or if the mod already did this, but upon checking out the esp for Vampire Ranger, I found that it made cell edits to the Imperial City Arena District. Again, I don't know if this was a side effect of my edit, or if the mod already came with the edit. I deleted the Arena District edit on Vampire Ranger and everything returned to normal.
My bet is you added or removed one of these mods after starting a new game and/or added it after already visiting the area.
If adding or removing mods that alter persistent records ... I think best practices is to start a new game. so with better cities ... if I remove it. new game if I add it new game. Perhaps overly cautious and this report is old now, but for others ... best way to test this kind of issue.

FYI - I do not have Oblivion Uncut installed
