Hello, I am experiencing issues. Is the starting tutorial guy translated German to English?
I have 'Nehrim - Complete English Voices from VA and elevenlabs.io' and 'Nehrim At Fate's Edge - Updated English Traslation' files. Am I missing anything? All I'm hearing is German.
I followed the instructions; but it just doesn't work. When I launched it, I checked the data files on the display and it showed only two items. The Nehrim esm and the Translation esp. Should there be another esp file? I get the opening in English, but the people still speak in German. Could use some advice. Thanks
Hi Kerry. Its probably too late, but I guess some people will come here for answers, so...
The solution to make it work is few comments below - you need to copy SkyBSA.dll file to the Data/OBSE/plugins/ It will force to use voice audio from the folder where you copied the files to. I didnt even rename Nehrim.esm to Nehrim.esp. It just works. SkyBSA is here: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/49568
Sadly I can't make this mod work, I tried everything. Reinstalled Oblivion and Nehrim. Reinstalled OBSE. Tried with SkyBSA and without. Also tried renaming Nehrim.esm to Nehrim.esp but the file never shows in the Nehrim launcher when clicking 'data files'. Videos are in English but all voices are still in German :( I'm using the Steam version. Has anyone made it work recently ?
edit: finally made this work ! I Installed skyBSA in my plugin folder and did not rename Nehrim.esm. I unselected nehrim.esm from the launcher in 'data files' and it's finally in English !
This mod is honestly amazing, even some of the AI voices sound real and had me fooled at times.
However one gripe I have with it is one of the main characters Arkt has a really monotone and almost microsoft sam sounding voice. It makes a lot of what he says kinda laughable. If you ever go back to this mod PLEASE I am begging you change Arkt's voice. <3
He's not the only one, next to the majority that are well chosen there are some that feel pretty robotic, Vanmiria for example is very monotone, there are also ones which the voice doesn't really match the character like Sarantha, but the mod author probably had limited choices, still an amazing mod.
As I have seen others also say in previous comments, the voices for the dwarves segment (basically from "The Conductor" onward) are still in German. I have all updates and all required files (and all updates for all required files, just so anyone reading is aware that those bases are covered and a reflexive "you need the update" comment would be akin to facing northward while urinating in a southbound wind). I experience this on both the Steam and GoG versions. I even got so frustrated I did a complete uninstall of the game(s) and all mods then re-installed the game from scratch on a different drive with this — and its updates and requirements — being the only additions, but to no avail. The same issue persisted. All other voices are still in English with absolutely no issues, though (well, aside from Stehpen Hawking's phenomenal performance as Arkt never failing to spur me to tears and a minimum two-minute standing ovation, which makes controlling a keyboard and mouse a bit of a hassle for a while).
I'm replaying the game for the first time in years and it's been so nice having English voice lines this time around, so I can forgive a relatively small segment of the game still having some non-English lines. I merely wanted to also chime in and say I also experience this issue and share my trials and tribulations with it so maybe it can be fixed (again?) at some point in the future.
I have reinstalled all 4 mods twice along with the esp that comes with the suggested mod list. Intro is English but Celebro still speaks German. What could be the problem? Am using Mod Organizer by the way and installed all mods in the suggested mod list. *nevermind, I fixed it, just had to install the files manually*
I am having the exact same issue. What do you mean install the files manually? Where did you find the voice file? I just seee L - Voices.bsa. Did you have to recompress the added voice files into a .bsa to make it work? I just can't get this mod to work
Hi, I have tried for about an hour trying to get this mod working, would a guide or video showing how to get this working for the steam release be possible or a detailed step by step. I really can't get this working :/ Any help would be appreciated!
List of things I've done; I have added the files to the data folder, didn't work, made sure OBSE and SkyBSA were up to date, they are. I tried the rename for Data/Sound/Voice/Nehrim.esm to esp (guessing the "." in the file description should be a "/"), didn't work.
Probably too late, but what worked for me was going into Oblivion/Data/OBSE/plugins/ and then placing the SkyBSA.dll file from the manual download into this folder. I also reinstalled OBSE and copied the correct folders although I don't know if I needed to do this as I replaced files with the same names. After that I manually added the 3 downloads for this mod in the correct locations and renamed Nehrim.esm to Nehrim.esp.
I tried getting things set up with MO2 but that was more trouble than I could sort out so this was all done manually in the files under steamapps/common/Oblivion/
Worked fine until I encountered the Dwarf. All the Dwarfs speak German. When I left the Dwarf cave, folks started speaking English again. Is this working properly? The mod author says "All voices should be translated." (Kinda cool that the alien race speaks a different language, but...)
