For anyone complaining the mod doesn't work, you're right and until we find the actual values that edit sneak attack multipliers it never will.
Currently the values this mod edits don't actually affect anything in-game. So a fix will either need to be scripted, or we'll need to wait to see if the values the game uses can be edited directly.
I found the files that actually do this in the .pak of the game. \OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\Data. and the file you want is DT_WeaponCategorySneakDamageMultipliers.uasset. if no one who is a mod author wants to make this mod I'll do it myself if this gets enough attention.
Sneak attack i now damaged permanently after i removed this mod! Great, now i have to restart! Word of advice please test your mod before uploading it, even if its not originally your mod to begin with.
thats why you don't remove mods mid game. has nothing to do with the mod itself. saves keep those settings throughout the playthrough, removing the mod does not revert the settings. thats just general knowledge stuff. if you want to remove a mod, then you have to revert back to a save before you enabled the mod. don't blame the modder because you don't know the basic rules when it comes to modding.
I tested both this and the other mod by sneak attacking the same enemy with a bow and looking at how much damage they take. Neither mod works - both mods result in the exact same damage as vanilla.
