I downloaded all the other engine.ini files so far on Nexus, and this is the one that finally worked for me. FPS went from 30-40 to 70-80 outdoors and double that indoors. Thanks so much!
Currently, the best solution has resolved this issue, and I’m excited to share a delightful discovery! If you’re using someone else’s "engine.ini" or your own optimized version and want to avoid disrupting it, you can simply remove the following settings:DLSS/FSR settings r.NGX.DLSS.EnableAutoExposure=1r.FidelityFX.FSR2.AutoExposure=1r.FidelityFX.FSR3.AutoExposure=1r.FidelityFX.FSR4.AutoExposure=1r.BasePassForceOutputsVelocity=1 Move these settings to a separate location: (After updating, you might want to remove these extra settings)[SystemSettings] Altar.UpscalingMethod=1Altar.DLSS.Quality=4Altar.DLSS.FG.Enabled=1Altar.Reflex.Mode=1And it worked perfectly! You’ll achieve the desired effect, and the same should apply to FSR—just copy these settings over. I recommend deleting the original settings to avoid potential conflicts, though you may not need to remove them entirely. Feel free to experiment. Always back up your original "engine.ini" before making changes, as you never know what might happen down the line.P.S. My English isn’t perfect, but I wrote this with AI assistance. I hope it helps everyone!
Oh no, the text arrangement has become very messy. I don't know how to edit it, but it shouldn't affect understanding. Anyway, you can directly copy these settings from the uploader's file; you only need the key part
Yes i have read that statement too. If you didnt do anything to the settings after the update yes. But if you are one of those people like me who changed the settings after the update because it looked like it was reset and saved that then its turned off.
Yeah. Probably. I never used nvidia profile inspector. Bro i was playing around with the settings because of that goddamn stuttering in the open world. While doing that the update hit me. After the update i started Oblivion Remastered, opened the options from the main menu and saw that my settings were all at default again. I then changed them and hit apply. At which point would using another program to check something be the first step?
Then you dont need it. Since the update the options are bugged. It looked like they were reset and the advanced quality options like Anti-Alising and Upscaling Technique cant be changed in the settings anymore. It just looked like it in the settings but it was in fact not reset. The fix is for those people who saw that in the settings, changed them and applied those changes.

DLSS/FSR settings
Move these settings to a separate location:r.NGX.DLSS.EnableAutoExposure=1
r.FidelityFX.FSR2.AutoExposure=1
r.FidelityFX.FSR3.AutoExposure=1
r.FidelityFX.FSR4.AutoExposure=1
r.BasePassForceOutputsVelocity=1
(After updating, you might want to remove these extra settings)
[SystemSettings]
Altar.UpscalingMethod=1
Altar.DLSS.Quality=4
Altar.DLSS.FG.Enabled=1
Altar.Reflex.Mode=1

Altar.DLSS.Quality=4 ; 2=DLAA, 4=Quality, 5=Balanced, 6=Performance, 7=Ultra Performance
restored about 40 to 60 frames
