I noticed that some NPCs didn't have their voices changed, just like the beggars. For example, Ilav Dralgoner from Kvatch. I would like to ask you to fix the voices of these NPCs too.
Ilav Dralgoner's voice is not changed in the Deluxe version of the mod, since he is essential for the Deluxe Edition quests. If you don't care about those quests, you can install the No Deluxe Edition version of the mod. This is also the only difference between the two versions.
Yes indeed, when I used the No Deluxe version of the mod, Ilav Dralgoner's voice changed. Thank you very much. May Akatosh help you bring back the old beggars' voices :)
Will this make rumors about the original oblivion dlcs from the new voices inaccessible, like will I still hear about frostcrag or battlehorn from the npcs?
Since this mod replaces all the new voices (except the beggar ones) with the old ones, the DLC rumors will not be heard, as they weren't in the original game.
I just tested this by loading the game up completely unmodded, walking up to a guard in Skingrad that used the new voice, quitting, loading it up with the Imperials - No Deluxe version installed, and the voice would change to the original one. It seems to be working as intended.
Do I need BOTH the no delux and delux version? I'm noticing a lot of NPCs in my game still have the Remastered voice lines, even NPCs in the main story like the guy you meet in the first Oblivion Gate. I'm really confused by this, not sure what I've done that could be breaking this mod as I barely have any others installed. I'll try using the non-delux version and see if that fixes my issue.
NEVERMIND. It was one of my mods breaking this, as soon as I tried with no mods installed I was fine. The weird thing is, I don't have any mods enabled that should've had any effect on this mod, so I will do some testing and work out which mod was breaking this one if I can and let you know. Hopefully it will help in some small way with compatibility stuff.
The mod which was causing this mod to break in my game was "Balanced NPC Level Cap - Remastered" by PushTheWinButton
Which I suppose isn't entirely unexpected but is sort of odd. I'm guessing that mod does more than the name would suggest.
Anyway, sorry to waste your time with an issue that turned out to be on my end. And thank you so so so so much for this mod, I genuinely couldn't stand playing the game with the new voice lines and this mod has made my week! Thank you again!
I just tested this by loading the game up unmodded, hearing him use the new voice added in the remaster, closing the game and installing this mod, loading it up again, and confirm that he does indeed now use the original voice from 2006. It's working as intended.
Bro, the mod helps a lot when using the legendary Russian voice acting from 1C. Finish it by all means, don't quit. Bring back the old beggar voices. On behalf of the whole CIS community I thank you, with your mod we can be as nostalgic as you English-speaking guys!
I somehow got my game to get stuck on original voices never downloaded this mod. Anyone know how to revert this lol, wanted to experience both the remaster first time and than use this mod the second time really confused how I made this a reality for myself :/
I really wish they had given the new voices exclusively to the more minor/ambient NPCs but kept pretty much all the iconic characters that are prominent in quests the same, rather than the huge sweeping replacements by race they seem to have made. Thanks so much for this though and for your thorough versions.
Thanks for the mod, I use the unofficial port of Russian voiceover, but there the re-voiced characters remained in English and this mod returned Russian voices to all re-voiced characters. Perfect.
Ну не знаю даж, я прост поставил озвучку когда она только вышла и вот вчера поставил этот мод, у меня всё отлично заработало, в стиме тоже писал чел, что у него работает. Англ только у попрошаек остался
Would really love if you were able to split out this mod into separate racial voice actor packs - I really like a lot of the new voices but the argonian and khajiit replacements sound genuinely bored to be speaking whatsoever that it takes me out of the game instantly.
It is an interesting mod, but I also agree with a comment that yes you can combine the old voices with some new ones. I too miss the voices of cats and lizards. :)
Hey, I was wondering how you made this mod? Did you use the Construction Set for OG oblivion? I'm wondering because I'd like to mod in the old weapon combat sounds, and I'm guessing the process would be very similar to what you've done here.

Perfect.
I'll download them now.
