The Imperial Palace Cuirass is now playable. It can be obtained from the guards present in the final quests of the Thieves Guild questline and the main questline. Unlike the original Oblivion, the Imperial Palace Cuirass unfortunately no longer has a unique appearance. Instead, it shares the same texture as its Imperial Watch Cuirass counterpart.
EDIT: After some more investigating, I noticed that the world model (the model of an item when it is dropped) of both the Watch and the Palace Cuirass show a different texture than what is worn on the body. There is a possibility that this different texture could also exist as a worn variant, too, and was intended for the Imperial Palace Cuirass. When I have time, I will try to figure out how to find that texture (if it exists) and reimplement it, if possible. You can compare the attached picture of the world model versus the worn models in the mod's pictures.
I believe this is an issue with Oblivion Remastered in general. Here are some screenshots that I took earlier today that show me in full Chameleon armor yet not having the visual invisible effect. It seems that sometimes the game may have the visual effect bug out randomly. It is not exclusive to the Imperial Watch set. In cases of having full Chameleon enchanted armor, if I take one piece off and put it back on, the visual effect returns.
People think Martin is wearing the Imperial Dragon Armor, but he isn't. His version is way stronger. There was an OG mod for this called: Wearable Emperors Armor by Sentry.
This issue was reported by AzoranTheDragon. The update should be coming soon. I completely forgot about the Palace variant showing up during the Thieves Guild questline, apologies everyone!
Thank you for bringing this back. I was not expecting this remaster to be real lol. I do have one slight issue. The palace guard armor cuirass. The one that has red is not showing up in my inventory. Not sure if I am doing something wrong or if it is a bug.
This was a mere oversight on my part—I forgot about the Palace variant of the cuirass. If I recall, that only shows up during the Thieves Guild questline, which would explain why it slipped my mind. I will release a new file soon that rectifies this issue. Thanks for bringing it up!
Thank you for this, it's lore friendly implemented, I realy don't know why the devs didn't make this, it's like they just copay/paste UE5 on the OG game and that's it
Well that is what they did wasn't it? I think they mentioned in the stream that they did the graphics stuff in UE5 and were able to port it over. So that's probably the reason it's considered a remaster instead of a remake. They remade the assets but it's still oblivion. And i also feel like playing the old game but more modern. There are even bugs from the old game that are still happening. Feel free to correct me if the first statement was wrong. It is how i understood it.
Ironically, the Imperial Watch Armor is also marked as unplayable in the original Oblivion. As a result, there were quite a bit of mod uploads back in the day that fixed this same issue.
It isn't just the Imperial Watch Armor—many of Oblivion's issues remain in the Remastered edition. Another glaring example would be the balcony of the Skingrad house being marked as trespassing even if you own the property—this bug persists in the Remastered edition.
But can you also make the armour from the Captain Renault and Glenroy lootable and usable? maybe with a low durability so as not to cheese too much the tutorial dungeon. Like already at 15%, so it wouldn't be as good as the iron armour, but can still be repaired later.
Could you raise the stats of the armour? Or better yet (if its not too hard) could someone tell me how to do it? I just wanna keep using the armour but its already below what I am using.
If you wouldn't mind changing the armor to the stats if ebony armor I would really appreciate as an optional download, I can do it but I'd need to download OG oblivion and I havn't had time to do so, so I could change the value with xedit.
Thank you so much for making this mod! Do you know if it is possible to get the Knight of the Order armor to correctly match animations with the player character? I was able to equip it but it was stiff. Thanks again!

Edit: maybe sometimes? sometimes it works... strange.

1) does it have 1st person model for arms/hands?
2) will it get a stat-buff in the future to be in line with Ebony/Daedric armors?
Thank you for your work!
