About this mod

The most prominent feature is making it so NPCs don't randomly greet you as you run past them, unless you bump into them. It also makes NPCs want to talk to each other a bit more. Now with Game Settings Loader support!

Description:
If you're tired of NPCs always greeting you just because you happen to run past them, this mod is for you. I had a similar mod for original Oblivion and every Bethesda Game Studios game up to Starfield, because I hate it when NPCs talk to you, or act like they're annoyed that you're trying to talk to them ("What do you want?"), when you're really just passing by.

Additionally, a subtler tweak is also included that makes NPCs try talk to each other more, and conversations will happen from further away. It should make towns feel a bit more lively to make up for the lack of NPCs trying to talk to the player.

Installation:

* .esp version:

1. Unzip the non-(Game Settings Loader) version file and put NPC Socialization Tweaks.esp into the Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\ObvData\Data folder.

2. Edit the Plugins.txt file in there and add a new line with NPC Socialization Tweaks.esp into it. Save and exit.

* Game Settings Loader config version:
1. Download and install Game Settings Loader. Be sure to follow its installation instructions as well.

2. Unzip the (Game Settings Loader) version file into the game's root folder. The folder structure should turn out to be something like this:
...\Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Binaries\Win64\OBSE\Plugins\GameSettings\NPC Socialization Tweaks.ini
