Should I load this before or after that mod? I assume it'd be after. But then would that mean I couldn't get the better leveled unique claymores that the above mod provides?
I was going to ask the same actually! I am using the same mod, but I am affraid of not being able to get the better leveled claymores if I use this mod.
The real issue with the two handed swords is the god awful normal attack combo. I can not f*#@ing believe they designed these to only have a single two hit combo that plays over and over, while also having a 2 second long cooldown after the second hit before you can attack again.
@Eidolon08 This is just completely wrong. In real life swinging a two-handed sword is nowhere near as slow as in the game. You can actually swing a two-handed sword almost as fast as a one handed sword, unless you're too weak to wield it, in which case you shouldn't be using it in the first place. Look up blumineck on youtube if you don't believe me.
Besides that, the claymores in this game are absolutely not "perfectly fine". They are insanely slow compared to the damage they do. I would be completely fine with claymores being slow if their damage was buffed to compensate. As it is now they do almost the same damage as a longsword, but is SIGNIFICANTLY slower. Using a claymore right now is just playing challenge mode on purpose, because longswords are so much better and you can even wield a shield with them. The claymores definitely need to be changed to either be faster, or do more damage.
Im exaggerating the cooldown but the extremely repetitive two hit combo is unforgivable. The way the animations are designed means they dont loop well either, it feels like shit.
Eidolon08 Yeah except battle axes do the same damage but swing twice as fast and have a 3 hit combo. That doesn't seem fine. The blunt 2h option shouldn't be doing twice as much damage for less commitment.
Is this effectively a version of Stronger Two Handed Weapons that leaves the warhammers and battleaxes as vanilla, and just buffs the two-handed swords?
Welp, got a few mods by now so I'm used to "installing" them. With this one I seem to have an issue, same damage ( 5 ) on both steel and iron claymores for some reason. ;s
That's almost certainly caused by a mod conflict, I've seen it happen when installed with a few others but it worked when I actually installed this mod on its own.

I find them perfectly fine the way they are and are much better than OG where you spam them as fast as a dagger just really didn't make any sense.
I think you are exaggerating just a little on the way time because it's definitely not 2 seconds it's like maybe half a second it's hardly noticeable
