My guy is just way too fast still. Not the sprint but the full stick running is way too fast like playing Doom just gliding all over. I don't think it was like this last version I used. I am using the better horses mod and see the horse is trotting faster and with a messed up animation than when sprinting. Maybe these mods conflict or something but how to get my run,not sprint, speed to be normal?

edit; also we don't need to add the mods to the plugin.txt anymore?

It’s because I had to put the value back to vanilla speed as people were complaining. You go really fast in vanilla, just lower the value to your liking. 2.2 global speed feels nice.

horse is a bug and will be fixed

I like this mod a lot but having to close the game and edit the lua to switch between keyboard and controller isn't it.

The game knows when a controller is being used vs a keyboard and mouse because it changes the ui to reflect the current input. Is there any way to use that to change the keyboard variable in realtime?

I stream my games to my handheld quite a bit and trying to edit that lua file on a 7" touchscreen is gonna be quite difficult.

Fixed it myself. If you want I can send you the lua or I can upload it as a separate mod with credit to you.

thanks for the mod, but I found a problem
when I activate this mod, it disables my keyboard walk
with the keyboard my character just run and not walk anymore, even setting another key in the settings
or use the 2 keyboard and control
I tried change in ini to activate keyboard, but the floor gliding back to the controler
does the mod only work for one or the other? not both?

I have added input detection to the script I'm just waiting on the mod author to give me permission to upload it.

Installed this, playing with a controller and it feels amazing. Changed the global speed value you recommended to 2.2 but it feels like the character is never "running" if that makes sense? It's just walking faster. Is that because of deadzone or is 2.2 probably too low?

somehow, this mod breaks when frame gen (FSR FG on my 3080) is enabled. any kind of movement is stuttering really badly, while FPS stay the same.

nevermind, it works now after switching from borderless to fullscreen and back.

This makes my character faster than he should be for some reason.

the base game has a bug when you slightly move sideways using the controler the character movement suddently stops from running and starts walking instead. its really annoying. is there any way you can fix this with this mod? i would really appreciate it :)

So, if you're using a keyboard (and usingKeyboard = true), is the only thing that this mod changes from default the ice floors and sneakSpeedMult? Otherwise, everything will be exactly the same as vanilla unless you edit keyboardRunSpeedMult? Or is it doing something else other than that?

Can someone explain how this all works? For example, when you level up your Speed attribute, I assume this increases the speed of all movement (walking, sneaking, running, and sprinting?) And so as you level up Speed, would you need to continue decreasing the various variables in main.lua in order to keep consistent speeds?

Why can keyboard users not change the sprintMultiplier? Why is this for controller only?

Also, I tested sneaking and running in-game and sneaking certainly feels slower than running to me... What am I missing here?

Having a weird issue where i can no longer 'walk' or 'run' in sneak, it's just one sneak speed regardless.. Anyone else?

the mod reduces the sneaking speed, because sneaking run speed is same as normal run speed. you can change it back but try it out first. I have a speed build and desperately needed this mod because of finer movement control. the sneak being slower is really good imho.

Where is/what file am I supposed to edit in order to change the values? I see "enabled.txt" but when I open its blank. And I see main.lua, which I don't know how to open.

So, I didn't have a clue of what the author was talking about either; instead I used the in game console command to player.setav speed xx to change my speed to -40, seems to have made my character move like a normal human; this seems to multiply your players speed attribute too much but idk; have to reuse command if you get a blessing sometimes bc it fixes attribute damages; and usually I have to save and reload; annoying but its worth it

Hey so all I did to change the values in the main.lua file was to open it in Notepad and just change it from there. It worked as intended. Hope that helps!

By "using keyboard", do you mean analog keys keyboards ?
