Just wanted to come back after a few hours of playing with this mod enabled and say: this absolutely transforms the Oblivion experience.
Combat in vanilla Oblivion was always pretty simple — but this modpack leans into it perfectly. When you're diving into Oblivion gates now, it feels less like a slog… and more like you’ve become the Doom Slayer of Tamriel, cutting down demonic creatures one after another.
No more dragging your feet through daedric realms — now it’s chaotic, intense, and actually fun. Kudos to you, sir. This is a goated mod concept, and I seriously hope you keep building on this incredible foundation. You've got something special here!
WOW! WHAT A GAME CHANGER! I went with the 3x and raised the difficulty for real challenge. I just cleared Kvatch and it was an actual battle to win that last fight as I slayed like a hundred flame atronachs and daedra. Actually felt like I earned the title for once.
This coupled with difficulty tweaking, some gear changes, magicka consumption and bow speed has completely changed this game for me. It's quite amazing that the pace and intensity of combat went from mindlessly dodging one enemy here and there to every encounter is a challenge. It really pushes you to use resources well, and potions, food, and strategy all can matter when engaging larger groups now. Enchanting gear and getting stronger weapons and stats is actually important. I haven't hit more than 10 enemies or so in an area yet, but I'm sure there are some that will spike to 20-30 just based off the logic of the mod which I'm pumped for. What is blowing me away the most is that this isn't the standard for this game when brought into the modern era. The NPC count was a limitation then but the AI is so performant based on the hardware limitations of the time you can get probably 20 or 30 npcs in a battle and still run smooth. This kind of change should make it's way into the definitive version of this game as a mod pack.
It's compatible with Leveled Creature and Item Diversity. It's not fully compatible with Ascension as it will overwrite about half of the leveled lists that this mod does.
Well, could you make more version such as (x5 or x10 spawns)?Wanna more enemies to kill.I try to use x2 and x3 version at the same time by Modify file name suffix, but it doesnt work. JUST ONLY AFFECT INDOORS IN CASE.
Could you make a version for friendly npcs like guards, impirial soilders, civilians etc. In fact, that looks like Populated Skyrim Hell Edition,Extra Guards etc.
The concept behind this mod has so much potential to be built upon. Oblivion is a beautiful world—but often it feels like a beautiful empty world. Imagine groups of villagers traveling together instead of the lone female traveler in the woods, or a patrol of Imperial horsemen riding by instead of a solitary soldier.
Towns, cities, and villages all feel underpopulated. It’s 2025—we’ve come a long way since 2006, and most systems today can easily handle double the NPC population in civilized areas and random encounters.
As for enemies, it only makes sense that wolves, bandits, imps, and daedra would show up in packs. We’re talking about an all-out invasion—it should feel like one.
Really hope the mod author sees this—because he’s definitely cooking up something special here.
i third this! please make double npc's inside of towns/cities, (however how? because they all have houses and names...) woudl they just be homeless? so many logistical questions i have for you guys.. lol
However to upgrade this mod to something like that would require possibly new npcs or slightly edited copies that have been renamed; maybe with new dialogue lines. Not sure how long that would take to integrate but with the elder scrolls community I wouldn't be surprised if it came out tomorrow.
