Downloaded the mod as a vampire and it worked from the get-go, no need to change stage

Can confirm this doesnt work currently as it should, same jank as with a lot of other mods.
Actually its more detrimental than unmodded, because you can take damage even when fully fed.

Plus even after curing myself I take sun damage.

Not working for me. I have the file in the data folder where you put the .esp's and I put the name in the .txt file as well. I've tried sleeping, restarting the game and I even leveled up and slept and I still take sun damage starting at lvl 2 or 50 points of vampirism.
List oder, not including base .esp as they are above:

edit: I didn't save the .txt file and just kept exiting out of it instead as they were still there when I opened  the file back up I didn't think about it, but make sure you save after you are done adding the names of the .esp's.... everything I was having trouble with works now lol

No you there is a .txt file in the data folder where you put the .esp's, should be near the bottom of the folder. You just open that then past the file name, don't forget to include. esp at the end, and then close the box, should work.

Would it be possible to make a version so you would need to wear a hood or helmet to prevent Sun damage rather then just being immune?, mods like this existed for Skyrim and the OG oblivion and its the best way to implement this feature without breaking lore, Unsure if this is possible yet but would be pretty cool.

I do not think you can do it with the current tools for oblivion remastered. OG Oblivion has no mod for it that works unless I am missing something.

The reverse vamp mod makes changes to the same spells that this mod uses. I can make a patch for it.

The reverse vamp mod made an ability that blocks sun damage for awhile in the new update.

Was working yesterday but I think the new update borked it!

    Update:
When you update the game it resets the plugins.txt file so you need to re-add it into the file (same with other .esps you put there). Though even when doing that, it doesn't work

Adding VampireNoSunDamage.esp in the esp.txt worked fine for me even with vampirism

Weird. I'll try re-downloading the file and everything to verify.

I'm also on the Xbox version, not steam, and I know that that has some sort of difference with things

      Edit/Result:
It did end up working again! Though a few hours in my game crashed, I had to run the game without the line in the .txt file, and then I put the line back and started the game again and it seems to be fine again. So there is something finnicky with the update

Sadly not working for me. I had to cure & reinfect myself, got sun damage & changing stages didnt remove sun damage. However now i cant progress to the next stage of vampirism. If i force it with <Set PCVampire to PCVampire+1>, sun damage comes back.
Edit: After fast traveling a bunch of times i progressed to the next stages by waiting. However sun damage is still back.
