I don't know if this is on me or what, but when I try to start a new game with this mod installed and I try to skip the opening cutscene of Uriel Septim it will freeze the game and I have to alt-tab out to close it. The only other mod I had installed didn't give the same issue before using this one. Huge disappointment because this is such a cute and perfect idea! D:
Hi! TY for this mod! I'd like to request your permission to translate this mod into Spanish and share it with the community, or upload it to make it more accessible to a broader audience.
Working on an updated version for imminent release next week without 2 reported bugs/ w/ "How are you?" adjusted. Feel free to translate current, future, or any version, but wanted to let you know in case you opt to wait for update :D
This is a solid foundation for a huge dialogue mod overhaul. Would love to see fame/infamy integrated too—imagine conversations that actually have real-world impact. 🔥
Just a heads up. I tried removing the mod and sadly the dialogue entries still stay, without the proper strings. So it seems like it's saving to your save file. Hope you can fix it so it gets completely removed, otherwise, if anyone wants to remove the mod, their only choice is to start a new game (or a save before installing the mod).
I will disclose this/how it works in future versions, apologies. Great educational point though.
This mod uses addtopic (no removetopic function exists), so it cannot be removed unless yes, you *make a new save game*
You should NEVER DO THIS and as a **sacred** rule, DO NOT CHANGE YOUR MODS/MODLIST OR LOAD ORDER WITHOUT MAKING A NEW CHARACTER. IT WILL BREAK EVERYTHING (if not now, eventually...)
I believe this should be written somewhere so everyone will be warned before install. Like CAPS, underlines and red letters, ALL TOGETHER, for example. :)
Now of course what's really needed is for your character to do the responses in an AI voice, with a choice of voices (personally I would like the plummiest possible posh accent in a game that's chock full of plummy, posh accents).
The one thing I'd like is for the "exit" button to be available at all times, because sometimes one just wants to get on with the game rather than amuse oneself :)
Great mod! Looking forwards to v4. Q: Is it possible to display modded dialogue choices below the vanilla dialogues? It requires a bit more effort on the user part to have to scroll down the modded responses every time talking to an NPC.
With the way adding topics (speciifically, the command "addtopic") works w/ Player, it is likely not possible sadly. Each response in list is a specific dialogue option in the code, which makes the file size/programming/listing options like you described sadly much harder (likely impossible without official mod tools, which won't be released due to proprietary Unreal Engine assets, sadly.......)
