Before commenting about the game crashing with this mod, please make sure you do the following:

    • Disable all other mods besides this one to make sure there is no conflicts causing issues, or another mod causing problems
    • Install another esp-only mod and make sure that it works (this makes sure its not an installation problem
If you are unable to solve the problem with the above, please include the following in your comment:

    • What installation methods you tried
    • When the game crashes (before main menu, loading in, opening inventory/container, etc
    • Any other mods you have installed (including UESS)
    • The store you downloaded the game from (I can only test on the Steam version)
    • The items you have in your inventory
    • The body type of your character (there are certain fixed that are based on that)

This mod touches over 2000 items; I have not tested every single one. That said, it is extraordinarily unlikely this mod is causing crashes on its own, due to the nature of esp mods. The more detailed your comment is, the better you can receive help.

cool idea honestly I like this mod, Sword should weigh even less while hammers could go up to 8-15 kg imo lol
but here is some things I want to ask -
I have a Tools dont weigh anything and show on top mod installed -ToolsFirst_WeightlessEverything.esp

Will these two be compatible with each other?
I dont want it to touch Repair Hammers in case this will mess with the other mod but whatever ^^ cool balance mod! :D

I'd like to know as well before downloading. I have a mod that makes arrows zero.

Put the one you want to win the conflict after this one in your load order (either in vortex or plugins.txt).

I don't recommend anyone download this via vortex (you shouldn't be using vortex anyways) and to instead install it manually.

To do so, go to "steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\ObvData\Data" and drop the .esp this file gives here.

If you can't find this location by hand, then go on Steam, right click the game name, click "Properties..." click on "Installed Files" then click "Browse" and click the folders until you get to the same spot.

Then, near the bottom of this folder you'll see a "Plugins.txt". Open it using notepad and then manually type in "LoweredWeights.esp" at the very bottom. Save it.

    Enjoy.

Please make a non-0 weight (unrealistic) version. Too many items, arrows included are 0 in this mod. That's bad cheating indeed.

the only items that weigh 0 are low tier arrows. If you have anything else that weighs 0 that is some other mod doing it.

Many arrows have 0 weight with this mod... glass or enchanted included. If you could add a separate add-in (loaded after main .esp) to make everybody happy would be better IMHO.

Would it be possible to make a modular version of this (i.e. one file per category)? I personally only think Weapons and Heavy Armour needs changing. Additionally, the weapons still seem too heavy. Using 2 weight for Iron Shields and Fine Iron Shortswords (or Longsword, if you're feeling generous) as base would be most realistic (basically, divide the base weight of all weapons by 3.6 or 9, and shields by 6, real weapons are very light). Sorry for the duplicate message.

Alternatively, how would I go about making my own mod to change the item weights? I have a lot of things I'd want to change with the weight.

Greate WORK, it is super, but to all:

I have installed it by Hand, but this is very simple.

The installation of vertox/velox or ever was 100 times more work and the best, it did not work!!

With this "Mod Installer" I always get CRASH!! I must verify my files 2x!!

But with the simple Hand-Installation it works great!!

    Thank´s a lot!!

having to choose between this mod's half weight or stronger two-handed weapon's damage fix, is such a big sweat. wish either this mod or that mod got updated to include the damage fix + weight improvements.

Always found it stupid that an iron longsword weighs more than a pair of iron greaves.

Make sure you are using the oblivion remastered plugin for vortex, and that this mod was properly detected as a "Data Folder" mod. It might be some other mod causing problems (UE4SS has been giving me grief as VMM tries to reinstall every time I open it)

Okay, got it working, Seems to now be breaking the inventory
anything I add to myself adds the weight but it doesn't appear in the inventory
