People I realize this game already has native PS5 support with the icons and all HOWEVER it’s not working for a good bit of people including myself so I’m making this for those. If it works for you great but please stop mentioning this in your comments.
Also I am planning on adding PS4 support and some different style options in the future so stay tuned for those :)
Could you please provide better install instructions? Could you say which files/folders to drop where specifically? such as Copy *FOLDER* or *INDIVIDUAL FILES* in "C:\SpecificGameDirectory". I know the directory will be different for different PCs, but please make the instructions a bit clearer. Thanks.
And those people simple need to disable Steam input for the game under properties. The remaster natively supports Dualsense without the need of Steam input which is what's causing the incorrect prompts to appear.
It does work "perfectly" fine with native DS. And by "perfect" i mean 'imperfect' It shows Sony buttons. It has Adaptive triggers. it Does NOT have vibration.
Emulating as (xbox) Xinput allows vibration but messes up button icons. Dualshock 4 also doesnt have vibration You lose adaptive triggers which are useless in this game and get vibration and Sony icons. So this is a good mod. And you are shitposting unnecessarily . Thank you.
I use a 3rd-party DS4, and it's literally a DS4, one-to-one, other than it is 3rd-party. I hope you can make an optional 3rd-party DS4 mod of this. EDIT: Just tested it moments after typing that. It works with my 3rd-party DS4.
I find this especially useful because the native PS5 Controller support does not have Gyro aiming support, but making a custom layout with Steam Input disables the game's ability to detect that it is a PS5 controller.
You can get dualsense haptic feedback on any game on PC with free software called "Voicemeeter". Here is a reddit link for guide but ignore the first part recommending DSX. Just follow the numbered steps and use DS4windows for controller emulation and be sure to use HidHide to hide your original controller.
I use DS4windows so I can map the back buttons and function buttons on the DS Edge to various keyboard keys instead of duplicating button actions. When I use it, the game only ever gives me Xbox button prompts. This mods fixes that.
I was about to post exactly the same thing, but then I considered that maybe the Gamepass version doesn't include them? I can't really figure out why else this mod would be needed, on Steam at least "it just works".
