It works. I waited until the guards went far enough, openly broke into the house and killed its owner there (he resisted). No guards, and even more: when I left the house, I spoke to one of them and everything was fine. Naturally, I also tried to attack a citizen near the guards, and then he reacted as it should. I also attacked citizens right in the city, but far enough from the guards. The result is similar: not a single guard materialized to save the citizen.
Thanks for the report! Interesting that even when the person you killed resisted, the guards didn’t know about it. When I tested it, the guards somehow magically knew something was off. Maybe I was seen by someone and didn’t realize it. Thanks!!
Amazing mod. Could you also add on to it a fix for whatever the hell this bug is where you can't kill any enemies within distance of a town or the guards instantly materalize outside of it to arrest you, or does this just sort of automatically do that by extension?
Thinking about towns that have an Oblivion gate within visible distance of guards and how you can't kill literal demons from hell without them deciding it's illegal and arresting you.
Just want to say thank you, makes sneaking a lot more fun now. Read your message at the end as well, good on you for learning how to make mods! You gave me some confidence to maybe learn a little myself as well, if you have the tutorial you watched please do share it! Take care and thanks again!
i was travelling through the mountains on the way to Blade's camp with Septim and the monk when a damn imperial guard came running up through the trees to arrest me for stealing and put me to rot in jail. Thankfully the two companions had plenty of time to wait until i got out so we could continue whatever it was we were doing.
I noticed there are two files labeled version 1.1—are there any differences between them? Also, could you clarify what changed from version 1.0 to 1.1?
Shouldnt be a problem to use both at the same time - CrimeTweaks has a conciderably lower alert distance (200 instead of 1200). So if you want to keep that, you should use mine later in the load order.

P.S. Sorry for my English, used Google translate
Also to the mod author, kudos on making this mod, from the description this seems like the best version of tweaking crimes out there right now ^^
