This is great! how would I be able to (or could you add it to your mod) have Mythic Dawn Commentaries Volumes 3 and 4 in the chest? I lost mine and am not far enough in the game to go find the other copies that are available in dungeons.
I tried in my own esp, using the same chest that you used. With your mod disable of course.
The chest appears, but the items I made didnt, I copy pasted them with new ID and added new enchantments but the chest is always empty. They just wont spawn in the chest.
Did you encounter this issue and how did you fix it?
heres the issue, if you give a container a new ID it probably will not work ingame and maybe cause crash, also the reason it conflicts with the other mod is because- yes they uses the same container, this mod was built as a replacement for that other mod, i prefered to not have everything at the beginning
what happens is, a copy weapon, apparel or container etc, with a new ID- info is missing to make it work in the remaster, which is why its invisible- like the modded staff here, things like this can crash ur game if its an object within cell/worldspace then you load it, its also why map markers must share a name that already exists in the game somewhere else, otherwise it will just say <MISSING STRING ENTRY>, i am also not sure which containers appear where in the game since theres alot, if you edit the base of it- im sure it effects the chest itself wherever else it may appear- i havent properly tested this
essentially i have to use either another container that exists in the game, which means 2 base containers for you will be modified more than likely, and i am not sure what this means- such as can you find the modded items spawning outside if you see that same container elsewhere, im still kinda new to it

> open CS with just oblivion.esm active > then you just go into enchantments tab, create a new one, add whatever stuff you want and save it > go to staffs or whatever, and click on the weapon you want to use, it will be invisible anyway so i choose a staff > change its ID to something new so it can be saved as a new weapon, on its enchantment- choose ur custom enchantment, set whatever damage u want etc >save it as a new weapon >add ur custom weapon to any container > save your file as customweapon.esp or whatever > then put it in your plugins
if you ever want to add more, you open it on CS with customweapon.esp active instead and things you made should load
LOL it was a complete accident too, because currently making a custom ID thing will make it invisible if its an item, and it will crash ur game if its an object in the actual world and you load it (im sure its just because of how the remaster handles converting original game to new) 🤣 but punching people with staff enchantment is pretty funny, soon there will be much more fun modded weapons which im not skilled enough to make, guess we just wait for the fun scripts/tools to come along
And the combo you used on it make it fun to use ! i wonder if the other combinations ( punch of hell, glacial punch ... ) would be as fun as this one is
I have a request please.... Is it possible to have a version where the cheat ring does NOT make you invisible - or possibly make that togglable? In third person you can't really see your character and it's very immersion breaking (ok, the ring might be that anyway, but...). Even in first person, can't see your hands or the weapon equipped much of the time.
since i have had this request more than once, i will upload it sure, i have one ready i made for someone else, it should be uploaded by the time you see this response
it could, and maybe i can fix it by setting it as a quest item, but then it wont be droppable afaik i will add an update soon, the problem with custom items is that since its ID isnt found when going through the remaster process, it shows as invisible, this happens with every new thing that has a custom ID, including NPC's, Cells, Containers etc- so to make a visible weapon, I'd probably have to enchant a specific genuine version of an item, the issue then is risking an enemy NPC spawning with that item, or finding it openly in the world, or replacing a daedric artifact, what do you think i should do/try ?
i just got back and you already figure out the workaround lol. also is it possible to have a lesser cheat amulet? where it increase your attribute, skill and carry weight but not your health to million? another thing i think your mod might bug the npc name idk if it intentional but some npc would be [NL] *npc name*
also do you know which NPC's maybe bugged?, i didnt notice any that where in my game, i didn't do anything that messes with the NPC's 😅 are you sure it isn't any other mod?

you have a mod/plugin called richervendors ? perhaps thats messing with it ? i still am yet to see bugged NPC's in my game X') also i think theres a mod now that can remove the NL tags
i can try but for it to be visible, i may need to edit the genuine copy, i havent been able to get a unique copy of an item with custom enchantments- i dont think its possible as of right now, my discord is 7isk and i can send it there since its more of a custom thing that i probably wont upload
