The mod may not work on initial load. Going into a new cell will fix it.

Thanks, I've been using this since uploaded, endorsed.

That said, is it possible to tinker the lighting? Like instead of no lighting, how about 25% - 50% lighting?

Yeah might be needed. I really dislike the spotlight but removing it made the persuasion minigame kind of tough in dark castles.

I think reducing the light by 50% and increasing the spotlight transition time by about 50% would make it less jarring.

yeah something like this would be useful. vanilla face lights make it look like you're talking to a faction leader in a 4x or something but i'd also still like to see who i'm looking at.
the only alternative i can think of would be adding a glowmap to every single eye type which it feels like a lot of effort for something which might not do that much

So there is a variable to change the light intensity, but not one to override it like the others. The mod works by increasing the fade-in of the light to an arbitrarily long time (3 hours). You could change the time in the script to something like 30 seconds so it's not as harsh right at the start.

I'd unironically love the opposite, to have the spotlights outside conversations.

Great that this mod provides us with the option, but I personally really love the dialogue lighting, it brings out a lot of the detail in the faces.

    To anyone having issues~

The proper file path is: Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\RemoveDialogueSpotlights

Works great! Been waiting for this.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, I have the same file path as you for this mod, with UE4SS installed (obviously) but the spotlight still shows

Edit: Just downloading this through vortex fixed all my issues, take that as you will

I had the same issue and it turned out to be due to the game pass version using a different file structure.

Go to "~\The Elder Scrolls IV- Oblivion Remastered\Content\OblivionRemastered" and drag everything from the Win64 folder into the WinGDK folder, then delete the Win64 folder.

Switched to this structure and it's still not working :(

Does it have to be enabled somehow, or something?

Do NOT use the Signatures file from the Nexus version. It breaks this mod. I just used the GitHub files, put everything from the GitHub zip in the Win64 folder and the Mods folder is in there too, no ue4ss folder at all and it's working for me now. When I tried using the signature file, it broke this mod.

I tried both paths and can't get it to work. I can confirm ue4ss is working.

    Thanks for the mod!

This has been bugging me quite a bit. It probably won't look as pleasant, but my immersionnnn..
