Thank you so much for this mod! I featured it in this video, feel free to have it in you media reel so people can get a better look :) https://youtu.be/kESTxRhwx7U
Hi there! Using this mod I believe I am getting the NL bug on items that has healing effects or causes heal. In addition, Anvil is almost constantly foggy or completely cloudy now. Please fix this :)
Hey man. I tried your mod and now constantly raining. Even I used the fw 38EEE command for the clear weather but after few seconds it starts raining again. Any solution?
I'm only have been quarter of the map but when I tried to fast travel it's continue to rain. But I have some other mods as well. Sorry I didn't mentioned it. Also I did disable this mod and I waited 24 hours and I have clear weather for an hour of gameplay for now. I'm gonna do additional testing. I'll let everybody know. Thanks for your work. It's a great mod so many people need.
Oblivion might be one of those where is queues up several weathers at once in a listing, then adds more as they are used. Basically it was gonna rain, rain, rain, rain, sunny anyways before this mod took effect. Not sure. Basing that on Fallout 4 weather mods.
how hard is it to for us to tweak the weather chances so that we get more frequent storms? I'm a programmer but haven't done much w/ Oblivion modding I love rain and would love to alternate between sunny and stormy (like summer squalls we get in the pacific northwest)
It is certainly possible, and not very hard. The tricky part is just knowing where to find the right settings in the Ck, and making them save properly. (Mostly the weather settings in the CK are under the tab "World," and the submenu "Regions". A few generic weather records are under "World," then "Climate.")
Most weather mods on the nexus so far have struggled because the CK doesn't like to save edits to the weather records for some reason. So the mod author ships a mod, believing it to be functioning, but secretly there is no data in it and all their changes got quietly reverted when they exported the esp. just because the engine didnt feel like actually saving their edits.
The weather values appear in a list, like "Clear 30, Fog 10, Rain 30, Overcast 30," where each word is a weather type and each number is the percent chance of that weather happening. And because it is a percent, however many entries are on the list, they should all add up to 100 in total.
So if you wanted mostly sun and storms, you could easily change the above list to something like "Clear 40, Fog 10, Rain 10, Thunderstorm 40." But you would have to change it for every region individually. Not complicated, just time consuming.
But what exactly did you do that it didnt revert back to the standard settings when exporting the .esp file Because im trying to create a mod for 100% thunderstorm, but setting all parameters to thunderstorm 100 and deleting all the others, doesnt really do much. You also said that "A few generic weather records are under "World," then "Climate."" . What do you mean by that and what parameters did you change?
If you were in that area when you installed the mod you might not see changes without waiting a while in game. Although since Skingrad is an infested den of vampiric filth the gloomy weather fits pretty well.
Hope this works. Had another mod like this which is now hidden on Nexus and didn't do anything, really. While I do like a foggy morning, clear skies with strong sunlight and solid contrast are just nicer and also better looking with UE5 imho.
