So finally figured it out...you forget to add Mage's Robe  !!!  Of course, I pick & like the robe left out of your list, lol!  Can you please update for "Mage's Robe" which is the light blue robe that can be purchased at Rindir's Staffs along with other robes (all of those work good btw). Thanks!!

Oh wait the rabbit hole goes deeper! I have a none enchanted Mage's Robe and it works for that robe!  So the only robe it doesn't work for is my "Mage's Robe 9%" which is what I renamed it to be after putting a enchanted shield on it. So it looks like the case where we have to keep the same name and cannot change the name of the item.  Correct?

I explained this in another comment, but it's a little down now.

So player made enchantments make the item an entirely new thing. Like instead of being "LowerRobe01" to the game, your enchanted robes became "FFXXXXXX" where the Xs are random numbers, and gets baked into your save file.

This means anything altering the base item will have no effect if installed after you've enchanted something.

So any enchantments made before adding this mod won't work. Any enchantments after, regardless of name, will play nice.

I just got the Spellturn Cloak from the Mehrunes Razor DLC, and it does not seem to work with this one.

I am pretty sure its because the item ID is xx005FE0 and for me the xx = 04, and your mod either doesn't touch it or your number was not 04.

The first 2 digits are just based on the plugin load order, which means your load order is different. In Vortex under the Load Order Menu click Reset Plugins file to sort the game's plugins back to their original order. DLCMehrunesRazor should be load order 5 (Oblivion.esm starts the IDs at 00, so the 5th entry will be 04).

No, you're right. I didn't hit any of the DLC robes. I might get around to it.

      Place in steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\ObvData\Data.
      Edit Plugins.txt with "Robes.esp"

Could you please add that information to the description? You can't assume that everyone knows how to do that, considering it's a 20-year-old game.

I can confirm to you that the Monk Robes do not work with this mod for me, but I have tried all other robes and they seem to work for me.

Big problem for me, I wanted to use monk robes lol.

    Good mod for sure though.

That did the trick, this mod is damn good man, simple, straight forward, thank you!

Now to try to figure out how to fix Bound Greaves + Bound Cuirass and Robes not liking each other, I tried to make a custom spell similar to the mythic dawn full set of summoned armor contains most of the Bound Armor  spells, but if you are wearing a robe when you cast it, it works as intended, all pieces show up in my inventory and give me the armor rating as intended, but visually the Cuirass is not there, just bare chested out here.

Separate topic from your mod, but it is the main reason I even started looking for a way to remove the "pants" slot from a robe to counteract the issue.

Thank you for this, just started a wizard character today and hated that I lost the "pant" enchantment slot for rocking sweet robes. Would there be possibly an option to "hide" them though or make them invisible while still wearing them?

Hey no problem at all, still appreciate you being able to do this, id rather take clipping and more power than not.

Wait, lol, would adding pants to the tail slot make them invisible while wearing? Just a thought.

Probably but that would make every NPC pants-less. And there's a lot more pants than robes to edit.

Didn't work for the 2 robes that i have in hand. Namely the Black Robe and the Monk Robe. Tried to disable all the other mods i have to test it as a standalone : didn't work either.

Is the issue is specific to my game state or perhaps you didn't touch those robes ?

    EDIT: Resolved, see post above.

I'm not sure, are you using vortex maybe? I definitely edited those two.

Not using Vortex no. Copied the file in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\ObvData\Data

And added Robes.esp in the Plugin.txt like i did other mods. Also tried using different pants including the ones in your screenshot. Probably something specific to my gamestate then. Cool mod, wish it worked on my end.

Did you just move robes to the tail slot or is some other wizardry going on?

No, that made them invisible when I tried. Robes had "UpperBody" and "LowerBody" checked. I just made them all have only UpperBody.

Would it be possible to include the invisible version as an optional download? Some robes you wont ever see the legs and it would solve the clip issue

It made the robes invisible. Like you were completely naked when "wearing" them.
