About this mod

Do you want to get rid of Oblivion Gates with a single spell cast? Well, look no further! This mod will automatically add a custom spell to your character. All you have to do is target any part of any random Oblivion Gate to effectively destroy it and be awarded a Sigil Stone, just like you would normally finish the Gate.

Description

Are you tired of tediously navigating through Oblivion Gates, battling hordes of Daedra, and racing toward the Sigil Stone ?
Well, with this mod, you'll gain a simple new spell designed to obliterate Oblivion Gates instantly ! Simply target any visible part of any Oblivion Gate and cast the spell.
It has no magicka cost nor any cooldown.

Upon casting, the gate should collapse, granting you the Sigil Stone directly, just as if you'd completed the entire gate the conventional way. It's the ultimate time-saver, perfect for those who seek convenience or aiming to avoid repetitive combat scenarios.

How to Install

Simply drag the Gate Closer.esp file to your Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\ObvData\Data folder.

Then open plugins.txt within the same Data folder, and add Gate Closer.esp next to the last esp.

Equip the spell, and target the Gate's arch, no matter which side. Do not target in the middle of the portal, it will go through.

Known Issues :

- Upon reloading a save and attempting to close a Gate, it will award the sigil stone as expected but the Gate may appears still standing. Do not worry, the Gate is technically destroyed but the game may fail to display it on the get go. Simply save and reload, and the gate should be gone.

- There is a [NIL] behind the Spell name, don't worry, this is widely known. It won't hinder its functionnality.

⚠️IMPORTANT ⚠️

DO NOT use the spell on scripted Gates (Bruma, Kvatch).

If you want to be safe, use it on normal gates spawning across the map. Better safe than sound.
