Please leave any issues or bugs you may find. Also any suggestions are welcome! :)
Currently having trouble finding the textures that are used for certain menus like pop ups and the wait menu, so until i can find where virtous hid them they will remain white unfortunately.
Was looking for something like this and you uploaded it right away, very nice! Just a small suggestion, in the original Oblivion someone made a DarkUI mod and it's a darker red colour with a lighter yellowish text colour. Is this possible? I don't know anyting about unreal modding
I am hoping for a "Dark Mode" UI also, but I would really prefer light gray text on a black background. It might involve remaking a lot of the sigils and icons from quests if we change the background that far, depending on how they were designed and implemented. I wish I knew enough to help. I can photochop at a good level, but I have no Unreal experience either.
Yeah, I'm right there with you. I've been trawling the mods and posts looking for someone to upload a 'dark mode' mod or something like this to at least see if it's possible. I'm legally blind and lighter UIs are basically unusable for me. I'd love to see the author do something like that. I'd also love to know where they poked around at to edit this, not that I'm a modder. But it'd be fun to play around with. Either way, hugely appreciated to the OP for showing this is indeed possible.
open folder from this mod and throw all 3 files in: OblivionRemastered/Content/Paks/~mods if you dont have the ~mods folder in the Paks location then create it
Thank you so much for this mod! I featured it in this video, feel free to have it in you media reel so people can get a better look :) https://youtu.be/kESTxRhwx7U
I really like the look as it makes it look like an actual journal. A suggestion I have is you can make the pages look a bit weathered for more immersion.
can you post a screenshot for an example? Not sure what would be causing it to do that. Im not having this issue so im not sure what exactly you mean. Also could it maybe be something else conflicting with this? im not getting this wide screen bug when using the inventory. im on 16:9 what're you using?
Resolution: 3440x1440 Plugins.txt PlayerRaceHeightFixed.esp Because I can't reliably trigger the bug, I can't eliminate plugins one at a time. Relaunching the game will fix it.
Me: *enables native HDR* Me: *installs ReShade and awesome preset* Me: *opens Inventory in game* AHHH MY EYES!! WHY!? Me: I sure hope someone darkens the UI so I can keep my native HDR... oh hey, look! You: *exists with this mod*
I look forward to seeing if you can find all the hidden menus as well as whatever other color themes you eventually decide on.
Yeah im having issues figuring out how the wait menu and quest info pop ups work. I think they're adding a texture at runtime but i cant figure out which one. As for the book/scroll reading i also cant find the texture that replaces those ;(
Suggestions I have just echo those below, namely the highlight colour ideally needing to be darker for equipped items etc.
Most of all though, a dark mode UI reskin with dark grey/black backgrounds would be amazing if you find the time/energy. Thanks for what you have done though all the same.
I have a suggestion for the dark mode coloring: in the system menu for save/load/exit, the menu actually has what I think might look really good as a color scheme for dark-mode UI. The background is like an ashy gray color that's pretty nice.

The character's face in the menu gets elongated with this mod.Exactly my issue. Removing this mod fixed it.It seems to come back randomly.
Just in case:

Couple areas I've noticed the recolor missing:
- Wait/pass time menu
- Reading books
- Quest info popup
