OH NO! MY PERFORMANCE! IT'S RUINED! I'm going to have to go lower 8x dropped my performance by almost half 33fps with the mod, 55fps without the mod in my testing area but I appreciate what you have done here. I guess I'll either have to go with 3x, or no mod if it impacts performance too much but it they ever fix some of the performance issues or I can get something beefier than a 4080 super I'll be back for this 8x looked beautiful.
Looks like ass at lower res on huge 4k tvs. I was playing 1080p decades ago lol, once you have that crips 4K HDR on a huge ass screen thats too close to you, you can't go back to PS2 blur.
1800p is lowest I can go, especially with grass in the game.
i mean...you know how pixel density works right..why on gods earth would you but a 77" 1080p screen? i prefer smaller 24" or 27" (Max) panels but when i play i just sit at my desk. You also get a nice performance boost :) if you need bigger monitors just go with a 27" 1440p, or go a bit bigger
I want this as well my only problem with this idea would be the performance, OG oblivion running on period specific hardware ran at 30fps or less. The more lush and full the forest the less performance and IDK about you but I have some decently beefy hardware and performance is just barely hanging in there. I'm going through the struggle of performance vs visuals right now DLSS performance, for example is off the table until they can fix the shimmering. It is still present in both DLAA, and in DLSS quality, but anything below DLSS quality makes the shimmer the only noticeable thing and it detracts from the overall visual upgrade this remaster is supposed to provide. I suppose a 2x or even 3x tree density may be feasible at a minor to moderate cost but if Bethesda can't find a way to smooth out performance it doesn't seem feasible I'm personally not trying to run the game at 30fps.
Yes this too. And also certain tress look a bit.. fake-ish. Like you have tree trees standing next to eachother and they look like they don't fit like in the swamp area. Also the leaves move a little bit but the trees stand very still. It would be great to see more wind flowing and water streaming etc but that would cost performance also. And of course the colors look so brown and grey, some reshades can help with this but its a problem in the game itself only devs can really fix it i think. But yes the trees look so thin and small sometimes.
same I am also on a 4080 super and a 9800X3D, not only did 8x drop performance by a good 25+ fps, but my CPU usage went from 40% to 70%. 3x is definitely the way to go about a 4fps cost in my testing 48fps mod off, 44fps mod on and it fills out the ground enough that it still gives a nice visual boost.
Hi, nice! Can you make a pak file that make the foliage the opposite of denser and of what your mod do? To have sorf-of less foliage (to improve the performances); please?
Low Foliage Quality in game already makes the foliage very low. Theres no point in going any lower unless I outright disable it. Is that what you want?
Sorry for the late reply, and yes, please! If you find some time to make this happen (to disable the foliage, to improve the performances); it would be greatly appreciated!

5x is ok with -15, but 3x is really reasonable and makes the grass fuller.
