Hey, I'm not even sure which mod page to post this on, but I'm a bit baffled as to how to make a few mods work together. I found a few compatibility patches, but none of them seem to have everything I'm looking for.
Is there a way to mix-and-match patches or organize my load order to make up for mod gaps, or will that break everything? I would greatly appreciate anybody's help! <3
The conflicts are somewhat minor to be fair. The first iteration of the main page of Ascension had more information on this though. Not sure if it changed.
You can play the game just fine without these patches but the mods won't work as intended in some cases.
Can you give more details what the patches do? I had no problem so far playing with all mods together in the correct load order. Just curious. Because the mod right now disabled a lot of the previous featrues of oblivion because of remastered. Is it possible to bring some of those features back with these patches?
Copied from my other comment: The patches resolve conflicts and ensures that both mods work as intended. If you're interested in what the mod does exactly please check it in xEdit.
Why should someone have to use xedit to see what your mod actually does? Why not just say, or give a few examples of the kind of "inconsistencies"? Especially since the mod author has his own patch for these.
As a simplified example, just say something like, "Oh, Balanced NPC Level Cap limits bandits level to 15, but Ascension adds bandits that are level 20. My patch fixes that." It feels weird that you're being obtuse about what your mod does.
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate your work and have used many of your mods in the past. I'm just confused.
This author should be clear to users that the Hooded Outlaws patch only contains three records for minor conflicts and will also conflict with Balanced NPC Level Cap. My opinion is that it is not worth ramming your load order with patches for these sorts of conflicts as you are just complicating things for something that you are probably not going to see in-game. Wrye Bash will make all these patches unnecessary when it updates. It is better to wait them cluttering Nexus with this stuff.
If you know the basics of xEdit, you can easily patch any minor conflicts yourself for your whole load order. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother with these patches if you are a casual user.
Pretty sure this guy is farming downloads from his guide too, since he's keeping up patches that are provided on the Ascension page.
@PushTheWinButton Not every user uses either Wrye Bash or knows how to use xEdit. Also, if I use mods, I want them to work completely. I don't care if it's 1 missing entry or 1000.
I provided patches and the next day you had them on your page and then told me that my mod is redundant... Feel free to report this mod if you think I'm doing something that is against nexusmods guidelines.
Downloads are not contributing to DP gain. Only unique downloads do, so keeping the patches doesn't change anything.

In this very thread, after someone asked what your mod actually does, you refused to tell them and told them to check with xEdit...
Regardless, I feel that it is in poor form to keep this mod up after the original author uploaded their own patch AND has replied here saying, "I don't know why this is still up."
I've used many of your mods in the past, particularly your Enderal patches; I respect your work. But I think you've missed the mark here by keeping this up. PTWB thinks you may be download farming, and I'm can't be certain that that's the case, but it sure does seem like that's your goal.
it only crashes with the lite version because it has ascension.esp listed as a master. You can easily fix this in xedit. I'm running the official patches just fine on the full version.
Can you share the edited Patches for the Lite version, please? I'd do it myself, but I can't get xEdit working with the Remaster (Yes, I tried the beta version and added a target parameter).

My modlists:
Odyssey - A True RPG (Starfield)
Constellations - A True RPG (Skyrim SE)
Path of the Prophet (Enderal SE)
Echoes of Oblivion - A True RPG (Oblivion Remastered)
compatibility patches, but none of them seem to have everything I'm looking for.
I'm hoping to make these mods work together:
Ascension Remastered
DLC Integration
Enhanced Endgame Loot
Balanced NPC Level Cap
Auto Upgrade Levelled Items (or preferably, if anyone knows an alternative, a mod where I have to pay to upgrade items to the player level)
Enhanced Mehrune's Razor Normal
Hooded Outlaws
No Pickpocket Chance Cap 95%
Frostcrag Mages Guild Reward (Not sure if this needs a patch, but it edits an NPC's inventory)
Extended Weapon Range
I've taken a look at these patches, and some of them cover more than others but not all of the above:
Ascension Remastered: Patches
RuyN21's Oblivion Remastered Patches
DLC Integration Patch hub
Enhanced Endgame Loot Compatibility Patch Hub
Is there a way to mix-and-match patches or organize my load order to make up for mod gaps, or will that break everything?

they were not compatible but the creator recommends and even shows load orders etc?
wtf

Stop trying to make this bigger than it is.
Im a bit confused, is there a difference between these patches and the ones on the ascension page itself?
Cheers
This mod was made before the original author uploaded those patches.
Would this need a patch?
