I added every single setting listed on the OG game UESP website.
It will take some time to get through them all, and format them correctly in categories, and test everything.

Feel free to comment anything you find out, "every little bit helps" as they say :)

    Planning to add:
    - Weapon drop chance
    - Jump height
    - Spell skill level requirements
    - More combat settings (weapon damage, armour values, enemy AI etc)
    - Health tweaks
    - Sneaking tweaks (easier, harder detection)
    - Perk stuff
    - ...

Yes, sorry I added a 1 instead of 0 in the path, the right file is inside the fomod, you can grab it from there! I didn't want to post an update just for that, as I've already received complaints about updating too often... ^^'

Having similar issues with encumbrance tweaks not working sometimes. I have other mods that use UE4SS and they all function properly so the install is fine. Sometimes on game start it works, sometimes it doesn't and is only a visual change of the max encumbrance number.

Weird! I really can't do anything about that though, that'd be something to report on UE4SS Settings Loader, it's in their hands! I have the settings correctly set in the ini file, placed in the right folder... nothing more I can do :-/
You can try what thingy123 below suggested though

    Altar.ini edits fixes the encumbrance issue if anyone's wondering. It's located in C:\Users\<Your User>\Documents\My Games\Oblivion Remastered\Saved\Config\Windows

Replace <Your User> with the one that's linked to your account that you're using. Added the following as modified:
    [/Script/UE5AltarPairing.VOblivionInitialSettings]
    DefaultStrengthEncumbranceMult=10.0 ;default = 5.0
    --
Don't know if it will work for you. It's what worked for me.

UE4SS Settings Loader was made specifically so that altar.ini edits are not needed. Just get that mod!

The weird thing is, I have that mod installed. I triple checked everything, restarted here and there. Reinstalled. Tried on a new game. The encumbrance issue still persisted. I'm still scratching my head on why that is.

Altar.ini edits ended up being the only solution for now. I need to do my further investigation and see if I missed something as I've done the following:
       - Reinstalled OBSE and removed all the .esp files (Only had 2, both which is already now redundant due to Game Settings Loader).
       - Removed UE4SS Settings Loader. Reinstalled it and deleted the config folder. Restarted without OBSE to load it up
       - Tested on both new and on current saves.
All of this was done manually, as noticing issues with Vortex, I've figured I'd stick to manual path. Will double check when I start a new playthrough.

I would still recommend Vortex over manual installation, it is easier to handle mods and reinstalling... You may have broken something by doing it manually :-/
Use Vortex while waiting for full MO2 support for the game, that would be my advice!

I think the Unofficial Oblivion Remaster Patch conflicts with the Encumbrance tweaks, where the game will show that I have a max capacity of 1000, but my character will become encumbered at 500. Uninstalling UORP fixed that issue, and I noticed that the patch hub for UORP consists almost entirely of mods that change capacity and weights, so my guess is that UORP is being a bit strict with how weight is handled (among other things).

Edit: Okay, spoke too soon. The problem came back even with UORP uninstalled. The encumbrance tweak seems to be extremely random for me; sometimes it'll work, sometimes it doesn't, and I have no idea why. I've tried both versions of this mod, but the issue remains. All the other settings seem to work perfectly though.

I'd like to comment one thing about what you originally said, UORP should be the very first plugin after the vanilla game plugins. Very top of the load order. Anything below would win, thus overwriting any change it may make.

As for why settings don't work for you sometimes, it sounds more like an issue with UE4SS settings loader on your end! I don't think I can do anything about that! Make sure to check your logs for it (I think it outputs some logs somewhere), see if it reports any issue

Yeah, I always keep UORP at the top of my load order (despite Vortex constantly trying to dump it at the end). And I do now realize that this is a UE4SS settings loader issue, since your mod is literally just telling the UE4SS setting loader what to do. I've tried reinstalling UE4SS and the settings loader a few times (which isn't helped by the fact that Vortex, again, keeps trying to install a generic and outdated version of UE4SS while i'm doing this). Maybe Vortex is the real problem. In any case, thanks for the response!

Ah, use the UE4SS here on nexus, vortex doesn't try to install weird stuff anymore with that!

Yessir, I've definitely been using the latest version on Nexus. It's just that if we try to reinstall the Nexus version, Vortex will freak out an install the generic version at the same time, which is kind of annoying.

For anyone else who's wondering how to install/reinstall UE4SS on an existing load order without Vortex flipping out, make sure to disable all other mods first (and to be safe, purge mods too), and THEN install UE4SS (OBSE64 can probably also benefit from this method). That'll ensure the folder structure from UE4SS is present, and allow the mods that rely on it to be deployed correctly.

I notice that the Arrow Speed, Fatigue regen delay, general tweaks, health regen delay, magicka regen delay, and spellcasting speed are in:
    OblivionRemastered\Binaries\Win64\GameSettings

    Whereas everything else is in:
    OblivionRemastered\Binaries\Win64\OBSE\Plugins\GameSettings

    I assume this is wrong?

EDIT: NVM, I see this is for UE4SS game settings loader, carry on.

Yes indeed, some settings are handled by the Unreal Engine side, others are from the original creation engine side. The first requires UE4SS settings loader, the latter OBSE settings loader

I've done some testing, and I'm noticing some things just don't work for me, like:

    • Encumbrance works only visually — after I bypass the original amount, I'm still encumbered.
    • SpellCastingDuration doesn't seem to do anything.
    • HealthRegenDelay, FatigueRegenDelay, MagickaRegenDelay, and MagickaRegen — even with the highest values, I still see no changes at all!
Installed everything with Vortex Mod Manager! Already tested it with only the required mods, so I don’t think it’s a conflict issue...
Other settings I use with this mod work just fine — no problems at all!
Did I do something wrong? Am I missing something?

SAME I have everything installed correct I checked all folders and locations of ALL requirements. I'm having exactly those same issues. Even trying another mod for encumbrance multipliers does not work which made me check all folder structure which is correct. I have a few other mods that use both OBSE and GameSettings and those DO work. Thought I was going crazy even tested on brand new saves. I literally just turned those off waiting to see if anyone knows the reason/fix :(

Sounds like you guys didn't install UE4SS Settings Loader/didn't install it correctly. Those are all settings on that side! Are you guys on gamepass or something? The folder locations are different for it

Those definitely work on my end! If you check a couple posts down, I showed you proof that encumbrance works fine (1490/2550 and not overencumbered)

On steam. Other mods using the same folder work fine. Makes no sense. But knowing mods it'll magically fix itself lol. File structure is GameSettings folder ...OblivionRemastered\Binaries\Win64\GameSettings Encumbrance-UE4SS inside
      OBSE ...OblivionRemastered\Binaries\Win64\OBSE\Plugins\GameSettings Encumbrance-OBSE inside
OBSE GameSettings loaders .dll/pdb inside ...OblivionRemastered\Binaries\Win64\OBSE\Plugins

No idea why these are not working. Is the folder strucutre wrong? Followed all required mods folder structure. Tried optional file same problem which makes me think I did something wrong.

I'm playing on Steam — I installed nothing manually and really don't know what I did wrong. Maybe I downloaded and installed things in the wrong order? But now...
Encumbrance, spell casting speed, health/fatigue/magicka regen and delay are all working perfectly with this optional file.
Thank you for fixing it so quickly

    *Bugfix*

    Maybe.....

on your UESS settings i needed to add [GameSettings] at the top manually to make the effects work. I also deleted any comments.

so one of those two things fixed it.

Could be an issue only affecting manual intallers

Also - for magicka regen - the only line that matters is: NewFormulaMagickaReturnLinearMult=0.015

0.100 is pretty fast with willpower at 40.

      Cheers! i will.

Just mentioned the comments cause i didnt bother testing or double checking the base file once i got it working. Sounds like you got it resolved though.

Thanks for the list! between this and the settings compendium I finally got the game tweaked just the way i want.

      Strange... They work for me?
Unless I'm mistaken, looking at the code of UE4SS, it would seem that the loader doesn't even read that header line at all!
And my log shows that it is reading all the files correctly!

In any case, check the optional file I just added, I changed the headers

"Friendly hits allowed" does not work for aoe spells. I cant cast a aoe soul trap or turn undead without my summons immediately turning hostile towards me. Its ridiculous how this issue has not been fixed in the remaster.

It makes it difficult to play a ranged conjurer when a single mistake can cause a 3v7 to become a 1v10 due to your own summons turning hostile from a non damaging spell thats not even meant for them. Is there a way to fix this more efficiently? how do people play summoner without getting aggravated?

The soul trap spell is marked as a hostile spell, I do not know how you can fix this issue (wanting allies not getting angry and it still be flagged as a hostile spell for enemies).

As for why it doesn't work, it seemed to work for me? idk I didn't test long enough to make sure... maybe spells are handled differently to physical attacks?

Yeah there seems to be a difference to how the non damaging hostile spells work vs damaging ones because i can use flare 9 times on my summon with the config from this mod and they dont turn hostile but as soon as i use a custom aoe soul trap or turn undead spell they immediately turn hostile despite the friendly fire threshold being 10. Hopefully someone comes up with a solution to it, im sure someone has made a mod on old oblivion that fixes the issue somehow.

      EDIT:
Ok so I think i found the issue and its somewhat of a weird case because its dependent on having enemies and my summons in the same area when i cast the spell. Also it seems to hinge on the fact that one of my summons can summon a creature themselves which when that external summon gets hit with a aoe spell from me it then turns my original summon against me. Also hitting multiple creatures in general along with my summons turns them against me. If i just use the aoe by itself on my summon with nothing else around they dont turn hostile for some reason.

Oof that sounds complex then! 🤔 Not sure what can be done! You may want to look into the soul trap magic effect in  xEdit, see if it has a different flav than other spells or something...

From what you describe it sounds like your summon's summons are not exactly friendly to you from the get go? The value for friendly hits does not apply to them or something like that

The Enchantment multiplier isn't working for worn item enchants for me. It IS working for weapon enchants. Can't figure out why. I checked the soul gem limit and soul value settings with getgs and they match the ini.

Constant enchantments work differently indeed. You have to edit the following setting that I haven't added to my tweaks yet:

      https://cs.uesp.net/wiki/fMagicCEEnchantMagOffset
      fMagicCEEnchantMagOffset = 5.0
I'm still investigating if there's a better way, because this one is a flat increase to the number (aka if it's 10 you get 10% shield for example, if it's 45 you get 45% shield)

There's this other setting that doesn't appear to do anything, from my testing:
      https://cs.uesp.net/wiki/fMagicDefaultCEEnchantFactor
