================================= KNOWN ISSUES ================================= 1. If you need to preserve output image calibration settings like brightness from options, then you have to either enable bUseGameCam=True in Engine.ini as per Readme or run console command vtconf bUseGameCam True
2. Hi-res screenshot functionality is gutted in Bethesda's UE, you have to make your own screenshots
The bUseGameCam setting / vtconf bUseGameCam True command doesn't seem to be working, I get the error: [VTSpectator] :: ERROR: Disabling bUseGameCam - no camera detected on pawn And my freecam image settings still look different than the game cam
"vtconf bUseGameCam True" in the console does make my photo mode the same brightness as the gameplay but it introduces a bug. After a few times entering photo mode my camera gets messed up and gets stuck separated from my body even during gameplay. Hard to explain but it will be stuck inside something or moving in the sky etc. I have to save in third person then exit game then go back in and reload that save to fix it. Do you know what is causing this? It only happens when doing that console command with photo mode so it is related.
Just now I went in to photo made and used "vtconf bUseGameCam True" and then left photo mode and my camera was still frozen in place while I was able to move my character around. Maybe you can reproduce that. For me I can't use photo mode more than handful of times after enabling that setting without the camera glitching.
Just now I went in to photo made and used "vtconf bUseGameCam True"`bUseGameCam` needs to be used only once after a level/save reload, not every time you go into a photomode
I'm sure the answer is spelled out plainly in the readme, but if it is, I'm too dense to understand it. How do I use this? What key do I push to activate it?
Yeah I have the mod working now. The readme doesn't explain what those terms mean either though. It's a great mod but would be nice if we could also hide stuff like the pickpocket prompt with ctrl 2. Rest of UI gets hidden. Overall great mod ty very much @KZekai !
SML is "Simple Mod Loader" BP is short for "Blueprint" which is a system that Unreal Engine uses. So if you see a BP mod, it's for the Unreal Engine side of things. Similar to the ESP or ESL or Plugins for the script extender that most of us are familiar with on the Bethesda/Embryo/Construction Kit side of things.
We'll likely end up seeing a lot of mods requiring UE4SS, which is the Unreal Engine 4 Scripting System. Similar to the Script Extenders you see with most Bethesda games. UE4SS includes w BP Mod loader too, so I think you could use that instead if you've already installed UE4SS, since it was released on like day 1 or 2 of the remaster being out and it's very possible some people already have it.
I had installed a prior version and everything worked correctly, but now... I am beginning to feel dumb cause I can't make it to work after latest update. Let's see:
Inside my ~mods folder I have Simple_Photomode.pak/ucas/utoc and also SML.Pak, SML_P.pak/ucas/utoc. That's correct, right? Every version of this mod had all these files included, and then I just went into the game, pressed backspaced and it just worked... in the Readme now it says we have to type "mod add /Games/Mods/VTSpectator/ABPML_Mod_VTSpectator" in the console, and it just doesn't work for me... and the mod doesn't work anymore, so I don't get it. I am talking about version 0.1.10.
0.1.9 works perfectly fine for me and I think you complicated this more than needed (no offense)
hi! when i use the mod add /Games/Mods/VTSpectator/ABPML_Mod_VTSpectator command, SML fails to locate asset. i have the mod installed in the paks/~mods

Otherwise, provide a reproducible example, 1:1, step by step.
EDIT: I now have both installed and pressing backspace does nothing.
Install the combined version instead then
[VTSpectator] :: ERROR: Disabling bUseGameCam - no camera detected on pawn

bUseGameCam
is experimental. I'd need a clear reproduction case I can repeat with 100% success to look into itJust now I went in to photo made and used "vtconf bUseGameCam True"
