I am very confused on the install instructions.

    1) when you say "choose Oblivon.exe", which one do you mean? The standard exe or the "OblivionRemastered-Win64-shipping" one?

    2) during the reshade install do i select the loreblivion ini when it asks if I would like to select an ini to only load its effects? or when you said to select everything do i just tick all the boxes and not choose an ini?

    3) do i need to manually select the ini preset in-game?

Did the "Load only enabled" and "Generic depth filter" trick mentioned in the comments and it runs smoothly, didn't see any difference with stuttering or frame drop.

It seems no matter what reshade I use I'm losing about 15-20 fps when its activated. Unsure if this is a reshade issue or its time to upgrade my pc lmao

This preset doesn't cost me frames but for whatever reason, I think Reshade itself is making my game stutter like crazy. Oddly enough, the FPS counter doesn't show a dip in frames for me so its something else going on.

Try this: While in the reshade ui go to the "Settings" tab and tick "Load only Enabled", this fixed the stutters for me

Also don't change graphics settings like frame gen etc while in game, apparently it's been causing issues, do it from the main menu

Exact same issue. Framerate is fine but the microstuttering is immense.

Tried the "Load only Enabled" fix and it didn't help at all, also tried clearing shader cache, no help.

Only other reshade I've tried was Alyeid and it worked without issue, so not sure exactly what is causing this issue for some people.

Under the tab "Addons" deactivate "Generic Depth Filter", restart the game, and no more framedrops/lag

Appreciate all the tips! I'll see what I can do and let y'all know how it goes 🙏

Edit: Can confirm, it was "Generic Depth Filter" in the addons that was causing the lag/stutter! Thank you all again and thank you @dabiggieboss for the sweet preset!! 🤘

Tried Aetherial and it made it clear to me how Oblivions old colors really only worked for old Oblivion, while this reshade, however, feels like it adds a lot of life to an otherwise neutral colored game. In the same way the bright greens and blues brought a fantasy feeling to 2005 graphics, this reshade brings a fantasy feeling to 2025 graphics. I do think the game looks more "realistic" without the reshade, but far more interesting and vibrant with it.

Like other people said though it definitely needs the intensity in brighter situations turned down a bit.

Way too overtuned and colourful, but I get the idea. Maybe a bit less saturated and this would be brillant.

Has anyone had any luck installing ReShade for the Game Pass version of Oblivion?
I can’t seem to locate the .exe anywhere, and ReShade isn’t detecting it automatically either.
Would appreciate any tips if someone figured it out!

      For example:
D:\The Elder Scrolls IV- Oblivion Remastered\Content   and select gamelaunchhelper.exe

Too saturated. I'm in the chapel in Kvatch atm and the guards look almost red.

I go from 60 FPS in the open world down to 30 FPS... I have only the necessary shaders installed. That is definitly not "no performance impact"
