i went from 20-30 fps 720p ultraperformance fsr to 50-60 fps 1080p quality fsr, thank you so much for this, but there is somewhere in the starting area that it drops back to 21 fps before the rats break the wall, pretty weird but still awesome mod for us low range peasants
The correct parameter is `r.Nanite.AllowTessellation`, which is only used for displacement testing. Meanwhile, `r.Nanite=0/1` does exist and globally toggles Nanite; if you set it to `0` in Oblivion Remastered, the game will fall back to rendering with the old “full-poly” mesh. This doesn’t “break” the executable, but it overloads the GPU/CPU, tanks your FPS, and can cause pop-in or invisible models because the entire project was built assuming Nanite.
In cases like that, the (incorrect) line is simply ignored (it has no effect).
Replacing it with `r.Nanite=0` actually disables Nanite—and the result is much worse performance or rendering artifacts, as many users report.
r.Nanite.AllowTessellation is disabled by default, so is also redundant. You seem to be using AI for your replies - and possibly the mod itself, which is fine, but you really should fact check its responses.
https://xhybred.github.io/UE5-Console-Variables/ is a great resource for this.
The engine‑tweaks file you just installed only changes render and streaming settings; it never disables or remaps the console key. What usually breaks the console is either (a) another mod/INI that rewrites the key binding, or (b) a non‑US keyboard layout where the default “tilde” (~ / `) isn’t recognised.
How to restore it in 30 seconds: - Open your Engine.ini (or Input.ini in ...\Saved\Config\Windows\) - At the very end, make sure you have this block — or add it if it’s missing:
[Engine.InputSettings] ; ← keep only ONE copy of this section ConsoleKey=Tilde ; US‑layout `~` / back‑tick ConsoleKeys=Tilde ConsoleKeys=Quote ; extra fallback (the ' key) for BR/DE/FR keyboards
- Save the file, launch the game, and press ~ or ' (if you’re on an ABNT or EU layout).
Still no luck? Temporarily switch your Windows keyboard to “US” and test again; overlays like RTSS/Afterburner can also steal the key, so disable them as a last resort.
That’s all—no performance settings need to be rolled back.
tysm for making it playable for rx570 the shadowless version makes the fps go 70+ for me ! with fsr performance and i lower the brightness so it looks decent

Hey there, can we get a version removing Film Grain & Chromatic Aberration?
Nvm just read the description :PThis mod is amazing but it still has blocky shadows, so please release an optional file with the shadows fully disabled.
Please.
