This mod is fully fixed and working now! You don't have to put in any settings yourself or edit ini files. Just install the requirements and download the mod, done!
You only need the two required mods I listed. It's best if you install everything with a mod manager like vortex. Vortex takes care of these things for you so you don't have to break your head over these things =)
This new version works beautifully. Bow fights are actually interesting now. Add Gyro via steam input to give it that extra touch. Thank you for the mod, endorsed!
You mean after some time? Because in my game the arrows stay stuck to the head for several seconds. I imagine this was rather done for realisms sake as it would look silly if a character still walked around happily with 15 arrows stuck to their head.
So we still need OBSE since it's needed for the game settings thingo? Also, on the description page it says that the file should be dropped into the gamesettings folder OblivionRemastered\Binaries\Win64\GameSettings\ but gamesettings is located here: F:\The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods is that fine?
i'm confused by the installation instructions. Do I put both "game settings" folder and "OBSE" folder inside of win64 or do I go into win64/ue4ss/mods and put it in there?
The archive already contains the correct folder structure. Just merge OblivionRemastered folder from the archive with the folder of that name you already have.
I had it right originally, i'm just an idiot. For some reason I thought this mod would increase the animation of the bow pull. It does work. I clicked shoot and the arrow goes much further. Rather than falling out right in front of me, it goes a few feet.
I kept thinking I didn't install this correctly, but I did. When you have the mod active, the arrows fall from the sky much faster than vanilla. In vanilla, the arrows stay in the sky for a very noticeable time. With this mod, the arrows come back down within seconds.
I kept thinking the arrows would go farther, so it would take them longer to fall. Lol Thank you for the mod.
I fear you didn't install the mod correctly afterall. I just tested this again and could not reproduce the issue. The gravity setting is lower than vanilla and making it even lower makes the arrows take even longer to hit the ground. Did you install all requirements correctly and put everything in the right folders?
Yeah, can confirm what others have said. The mod doesn't work. Or at least the plugin version doesn't. I can't test the other one, as the OBSE devs have decided that half the community are second class citizens and only steam users matter.
If the mod worked out of the box for other platforms, you could install and use it. It does not work for other platforms for various reasons. You are not entitled to have any mod; mod authors make mods for the community, mostly free of charge, and do not have to do anything. Maybe they do not own that version of the game, so how would they otherwise make and test the mod without going back and forth more than they already have to for another platform, and wait for another person to test it? Or do you think you are important enough to require the mod author to buy a second version of the game on another platform so that you have access to the mod so he can test it better?
So your logic is, if you make a mod, it needs to be working and accessible to every platform; otherwise, do not release the mod? And on top of that, even though modders already work free of charge to bring mods to the community, they are also required to buy double, triple, or however many platforms the game is released on to make sure it's working on all before release, so you do not feel left out..
Entitled much?
To clarify, I am not dick riding modders, I mod myself and have released various mods for Skyrim SE. All my mods were released free of charge and took a considerable amount of time to make and update. Stop playing victim. If you brought the game on an unsupported platform, then that's on you; no one owes you anything.
You're more than welcome to make a script extender for gamepass, yourself. Po3 and others work tirelessly to provide for a community without appreciation or donations. Get over yourself, wait till the game goes on sell on steam, or make an obse for gamepass. Your choice.
This shouldn't be relevant anymore. The mod now requires UE4SS which doesn't need OBSE64 and works completely independent from it even on the gamepass version.
There are now two "RealisticArrowSpeed.ini" files, one older version in the OBSE gamesettings subfolder, and one in the UE4SS subfolder. Is this correct?

So there are two required mods to install and then this.
However on the other requirement mods, they are saying other requirements are needed and some have very similar names.
I only have OBSE64 installed at the moment.
Is your file, + the two requirements enough for it to work? Maybe I am overthinking or getting old.
Getting old with a faulty brain is not fun lol.
Edit : not working for me. Not sure what I have done wrong.
I changed the ini files (both) to extremely low and extremely high settings manually just to test and no change in archery.
UPD: I've made a small patch to make it work with UE4SS Game Settings Loader.
Check the comments, if someone is facing same issue.
They do stay there if you shoot imps, goblins or whatever, but on humans they disappear.
