Reset your keybinds to default. If that doesn't work, delete the file "Outward/Player0_Keymappings.xml"
If your Mods are not working or being weird:
Backup your "Outward\SaveGames\" folder.
Delete the "Outward" folder completely.
Verify files in Steam or re-download the game.
Follow instructions to install my mods as outlined in the Description.
Be careful adding back Mods which have not been updated since before December 2020, they may not be working and may cause problems with other mods too.
Okay I really want to get this Combat hud to work can someone give me step by step instructions on how I can get this on the definitive edition and please explain it to me as if talking to a 5 year old so I can understand it please I beg of you lol. Cause I'm looking at the different posts here and I am so confused.
I think the developer may have abandoned Nexusmods entirely, without fanfare. The current latest version here is 5.2, whereas on Thunderstore, it's 5.4.1.
Here, have a link. https://outward.thunderstore.io/package/sinai-dev/CombatHUD/
He did leave Nexus, but he also might have stopped working on his mods. This one is still not working on current version and he hasn't updated this mod nor sideloader for over a year. Not sure he's working on Outward mods anymore.
About installing CombatHUD 5.4.1 in the Outward DE version...I have managed to get it to work and would like to share it with you.I have added the following files under the Outward_Defed\BepInEx\pluginsUnzip the sinai-dev-CombatHUD-5.4.1.zip file.Delete the version part from the created folder name and change it to "sinai-dev-CombatHUD".Move the contents of the "plugins" folder downstairs to the "sinai-dev-CombatHUD" folder. (Delete "plugins" as it is no longer needed.)After doing the above, we are now in a situation where it seems to be working perfectly. For your information...
Also, the above installation procedure assumes manual installation. It is not necessary to DL r2modman, a modmanager sold in the Thunder Store. However, the background for finding this installation method is that Combat HUD worked perfectly only when installed with r2modman, so the file structure automatically configured by r2modman is manually copied as in this installation method. We have also confirmed that Combat HUD works perfectly on PCs without r2modman's DL history. If this installation method does not work, or if it depends on your environment, or if you do not understand the instructions well, you may want to try installing using r2modman.
Thanks pal. After days of playing with this mod, I just realized that most features were missing. I really thought that all the mod added were numerical values for HP, MP, and SP. But I followed your instructions and got the mod working as it should. Now it shows enemy details, buff/debuff timer, damage dealt per attack, and etc. Try it y'all.
In simple, proper words: Create a folder in \BepInEx\plugins\ name doesnt matter ("sinai-dev-CombatHUD" if you want), and extract the content from \plugins\ the zip to the newly created dir. So it looks like, \Outward_Defed\BepInEx\plugins\sinai-dev-CombatHUD\CombatHUD.dll
For everyone here that can't get Combat Hud to work, whatever the issue... It doesn't look like the author, Sinadev, reads Nexus much. It says he was last active on July 2nd, 2022 from the time of writing this... however the last time he responded on this mod was back in January 2022.
Unfortunately, there is no means on Thunderstore in which you can talk to or contact the authors on there. Which is why I will never upload my Outward mods on that site. I like having users being able to contact me or talk among each other and help one another out. I am hoping to keep NexusMods as the main site for Outward mods. Nexus allows users and authors (if the author chooses) to keep in contact and inform authors about bugs or mods issues. I value that very much.
Sinadev is still updating his mods, so he is active and does care about them. I just don't know if he cares to help out his users anymore. Hopefully he'll respond at some point.
I myself haven't been able to get CombatHud to fully work. All I see are the health/stamina/mana numbers, but no timers -- which is the reason I used this mod pre-DE; for the timers. The mod was working for me in 2021... but not anymore. I don't know at what version it partially broke, as I haven't played in a long time. I came back to play DE and now this mod doesn't fully work. This is the only mod I'm having issues with so far that I use.
I suppose you could try using an older version of this mod, but if you're playing DE you can only go back in versions so far. If you're non DE, then you should be using any pre DE versions. How to know which ones are DE and which ones aren't? DE was released on what? May 17th? So any versions before May 17th will be pre-DE. All version after May 17th "should be" DE. Some mods don't matter if you're playing DE or not, but I don't know which mods those are. Just depends on whether the mod has DE "stuff" included in the mod or not. Mods like VheosModPack (VMP) have both DE and non-DE versions by the author. So remember to check for that if available when modding Outward.
Anyone know how to get this working fully by manually installing for Definitive Edition?
I have the Epic Games Version, and using the Thunderstore version. I have no problems with Sinai's Utility Pack. But the only thing that I can get working for this mod is the health/stamina/mana numbers.
Nothing in this mod has ever worked for me except numbers under health/stamina/magic, and thats it. I can't for the life of me figure out why, because the big thing I really want is status duration timers.
Before definitive edition I think mine worked totally normal (I used the r2modman to install). For the most recently updated mod for definitive edition I did manual and am having the same issue, only core stat numbers and no timers. Hoping this is a bug and will be fixed? Question mark?
Any idea how to get this to work on 32:9? Everything works except the damage numbers popping up. They only show out of my peripheral vision, ie sides of the screen. When I go down to 16:9 it works perfectly. Can I change a value somewhere in the ini?
Not exactly sure if this is intended or if there is no other way around it but, while playing with my brother or friends, I am not able to see the status build up (the percentage) only when the status has proc'd and how many minutes it stays up.
That only happens if I'm the one joining their world, also, the same thing happens when one of us applies a hex on an enemy (e.g: Haunted) I can only see the - 25 on the target if I'm the host.
Another thing, sometimes the damage numbers are inaccurate. In my screen, I'm doing 68 dmg, but in my brother's screen, only 40 something, but the damage is actually 68.
Not really sure if it's because we are using Raid Mod, but nonetheless, this mod is undoubtedly one of the best.
These are probably sync issues with the game itself, not with this mod. And yeah that hex bug has been known for a long time, it's a bug with the game itself. It's probably the reason why you see different damage numbers. Sorry, hopefully it's fixed in the DE.
