    Using this stickied post perpetually for editing in updates/announcements. I'll also have a list of currently known bugs and their status.

    Thanks to current PC issues amongst other things, work has slowed down a bit, but is still ongoing.

    Previous Update (3/1/2025): Won't be working on the mod for a little while. Japanese translation is in limbo, as is fixing up Chinese names, as both translators have gone MIA for the moment. Sorry folks. Focused on terrible health issues and waiting to see when the next major Palworld update comes around in hopes that they fix some important things and give me more to work with for another update. When the next major Palworld update does come, this mod will be switching formats to PalSchema since I'll have to effectively redo the mod from scratch. If you haven't checked out PalSchema yet, I highly suggest you do so. The installation isn't difficult, the functionality is regularly expanding, and it helps future-proof mods.

    Current Update (3/4/2025): With the help of some fellow modders, I've stumbled upon a likely solution for Weatherproof to get it working properly. The Japanese translator also got back to me. Minor miscommunication. Just waiting for name translations now. Hopefully 1.0.5 will be a functional hotfix for Weatherproof, and also add full Japanese localization.


    Translation/localization help is most welcomed! I currently have help for and/or am working on the following:

    • Japanese - Stalled Out
    • Vietnamese (Looking into this)

    Currently Known Bugs:

    • Base-Buff Passives - Things like Morale Officer, Lumberjack, etc. This is a base-game issue I can do nothing about, in regards to how buffs are applied to base workers. These passives work, they just don't work reliably while assigned to base.
    • Weatherproof - Checking out a possible solution.

      I am a Chinese player. Your mod can work but some text is still English and lack of description.

      Localization is still a work in progress. Chinese is the most difficult since I don't have someone who can translate between English & Chinese for me. It's still planned, at the very least with online translation, but it'll take a bit.

      Installation guide is in the description. It installs like any other mod, being placed in your Paks folder, or a ~mods subfolder therein.

    Case anyone was wondering: The new modded traits stay if the pak is removed, though they likely won't do anything sides eating up a trait slot.  Pal editor can remove them though if needed.

      i didnt see any crashes from this. cuz this mod doesnt work with better armor mod. so i removed this one.

    Can we add passives to pals like pal editor or if we cant does it works with pal editor mod? I really liked this new reworked passives and wanna try it but I really dont have much time to grind xenolords at breeding farms

      Pal Editors are external programs last I was aware, so they likely wouldn't be compatible. That said, you can always use Creative Menu instead, which is compatible.

    like, can i add a passive trait?

      Pardon the delay.

      The passives are all either modified from base game or are new ones added to the existing pool, which is how passives in general work. So what you encounter in the wild is always random, meaning you can find the new passives randomly as well.

    mod is broken after latest update. None of the passives actually work. Its like I have nothing on my pals now.

    For some reason this mod does not show up in search on nexus... no idea how's that happening.

    Hi, I've been download it and put it in to the logicmods files, can anyone tell me how to use this mod in game? Thanks a lot of the work of the creater!

      This mod isn't a logic mod, so you'll want to put it in the previous folder, which should be Paks.

      Thanks for the explanation, I have put the file in Palworld > Content > Pal > Content > Paks according to you, when I enter the game I don't know how to use it, my archive is a third party server archive (I'm not a host) I don't know if this affects the use of the mod.

      Apologies for a very delayed response. Keeping up with everything can get hectic.

      On a server the mod has to be both server-side and client-side for proper use. Client-side gives the proper effects to players, server-side allows the passives to show up.
