Very sorry, but I'm honestly not too sure. I tried the mod on varying different system configs and game versions, and I just couldn't replicate the crash. UE4SS Experimental is correct.
Is there something wacky about your setup such as running the Gamepass version, running on Linux, perhaps using Vortex autodownloader etc.. ?
i have the same issue from having the game from the xbox gamepass but after weeks of searching no one gives the exact reason that doesnt make it work, i have a mod called creative menu but the keybinds doesnt work and its driving me crazy because this could save me hours of useless gameplay
Mods Folder Under Win64 or WinGDK Folders - If you still have a Mods folder under Win64 (Steam) or WinGDK (Gamepass), it WILL cause crashes and prevent proper functionality.
UE4SS.dll, UE4SS-settings.ini Under Win64 or WinGDK - If you have a UE4SS-settings.ini or UE4SS.dll in your Win64 (Steam) or WinGDK (Game Pass), delete these as they are most likely from an old UE4SS install and WILL interfere with your new install, causing the old UE4SS to load instead, which in turn causes Pal Schema and its mods to not function correctly.
leaving a comment to say it worked with the files listed in comment bellow so great but it does not show in tech tree you have to search for the chromite or hexolite now i have to spend the next day tearing down my base to make room for this. edit: actually never mind it is found on the far right in the tech tree close to the ancient tech tree still need to get the points.
Hi, love the mod but the mod doesn't seem to work in dedicated servers. When we try to build the hexolite mining site, our game crash. The mod works amazing in single player thoug.
Same! This would be incompatible with certain mods Here's my list of mods I've posted here too, any we might have in common? I could see which bug if I could narrow the list down https://imgur.com/a/cvBtX7p
Go to the folder Palworld/Pal/Binaries/Win64/ue4ss/Mods/PalSchema/mods/MoreMiningPits/buildings/ then open the file pits.json with notepad or your desired text editor.
Under "MOD_HexolitePit" and "MOD_ChromitePit", find "Assignments" and then find "AffectSanityValue", then change it to your desired value. Most normal things in the game have a value between -0.08 and -0.15. Don't forget the negative sign.
Save the file, restart your game, then rebuilding any existing Chromite/Hexolite Pits if the changes aren't immediately effective.
Thanks for your mod! Alas, I'm disconnected from my dedicated server when one or the other should be finished building (1s left) The mod is installed on the server and my client PalSchema updated The server doesn't crash, I'm just disconnected after a few seconds with the error "connection expired"
Ah, in fact the server ended up crashing a few seconds later, too!
Hey, do you have any other mods installed on the server?
I spun up my own dedicated server, and the mod is working on my side, so it might be a conflicting mod or something. I'm not too experienced with making mods on dedicated servers, so I need more info to try diagnose the issue.
So, I got the mod installed on my own dedicated server, I'm running the latest PalSchema version, I loaded my save and I see the new pits on the technology tree... But it won't let me learn them. Visually, it seems like it does, but when I close and re-open the technology tree, it shows that I haven't learned them. What's going on?
I've done some experimenting with dedicated servers, and for me, the mod is working fine.
I was able to replicate your issue if the mod wasn't installed properly on the serverside. Are you sure that UE4SS Experimental and PalSchema 0.3.3+ are installed on the server (and also the client)?
On the server:
Can you verify that the file 'MoreMiningPits_P.pak' is in the folder PalServer/Pal/Content/Paks/~mods/
Can you verify that the folder PalServer/Pal/Binaries/Win64/ue4ss/Mods/PalSchema/mods/MoreMiningPits/ exists?
If applicable, can you also provide a list of mods installed on the server? It could be a conflicting mod. I am not experienced with making mods for dedicated servers, so I need to gather as much info as possible to diagnose the problem.

However, I can't guarantee it will work with 100% of all mods that modify the tech tree.

I am currently busy with exams, so expect a fix in maybe ~1-2 weeks
Feel free to ask if you need someone for testing or other!

I'll try see if I can fix this issue.

If possible could you make this work for dedicated servers?
I've just tested it on a fresh dedicated server, and it seems to be working, but YMMV, so please give it a try yourself and report back.
Edit: I am working on a fix for dedicated servers.Keep in mind that connecting players need to install the mod themselves, PalSchema 0.3.3 and UE4SS Experimental.
You also need to install the mod onto the server, including PalSchema 0.3.3+ and UE4SS Experimental.
