Q: Game crashes, halp! A: Game can crash with or without mod, its in EA. But if you have have consistent crashes with specific mod installed do next: 1) set bUseUObjectArrayCache to false in the UE4SS-settings.ini file. 2) install UE4SS signatures (see requirements while downloading mod) 3) if version from Main Files crashes, try the same version but from Optional Files, they made in different way script wise.
Q: Game/save loads fine, but mod doesn't work as intended, halp! A: Double check if you followed Installation instructions. If you sure you did: 1) try the same version but from Optional Files, they made in different way script wise. 2) if you using version from Main Files make sure you added respective line to mods.txt (some mods work without it, but most don't). 3) organize my mods in the next order: PalBoxReorganizedX : 1 DeadBodiesDespawnInstantlyX : 1 MoreStatPointsX : 1 MoreTechnologyPointsX : 1 MaxLevelIncreasedX : 1 BetterShieldUltimateX : 1 BetterRidingGroundMountsX : 1 BetterSellRatesX : 1 NoMoreBurningBasesX : 1 NoDamagedEquipmentPenaltiesX : 1 AutoSaveTimeX : 1 LessRestrictiveBuilding : 1 LessMapShroudX : 1 MoreMarkersX : 1 HUDFadeOutNever : 1 NoMoreWildPalsOnYourBase : 1 ConfigurableExpGainX : 1
Q: UE4SS 2.5.2 or 3.0.0? A: Both work fine with my mods. I haven't seen the differences stability wise.
Q: Do I really need signatures for Palworld 0.1.4? People says they are not needed anymore. A: Some mods will work without signatures, but some absolutely wont.
Q: I have issues installing mod on dedicated server. A: Read article.
CHANGELOG 1.03 - added 2 more tweaks: 1) allows to build overlapping bases (palboxes can be built almost back to back), 2) removes, in theory, objects cap for a character (tried lower values only). Use overlapped bases on your own risk, logic inconsistencies are possible. 1.10 - added Eld3rBrain edits to scripts (kudos to them!), should increase mod stability. 1.12 - added hook for dedicated servers (kudos to XxInvictus), should work more reliably now. 1.15/16 - removed buildings collision checks (huge thanks to yakuzadeso for this). 1.17 - added serverAchknowledged check to prevent hook running for mounting/dismounting player on server (kudos to yakuzadeso). 1.2 - disabled overlapping bases to make mod work with Feybreak (0.4.11).
NOTES If game crashed on the start/load, try to set bUseUObjectArrayCache to false in the UE4SS-settings.ini file. You may also need to install UE4SS signatures (see required files).
for Palworld 0.3.1.0+ mod is working in SP and Co-op normally. server hook doesn't work anymore, but people report that for some mods "activating" mod in SP first then joining dedicated server makes mod work for them.
v0.6 ready (not tested on dedicated servers)
since Palworld 0.5 update overlapping structures with other structures and collisions (terrain) seems to be working fine again.
Ayyo, found the one that works with structures now, it's a server one, but works perfectly fine in singleplayer try Dedicated server build overlap, just install it like eny other mod. I use experimental verion of ue4ss and signatures, so that could be required too, did not tried on earlier versions or without signatures.
Yeah, absolutely. It works with roofs and stairs, but not with walls and ceilings. Only furniture and crafting stations. Big sad for now, building anywhere but dedicated spots of flat land is almost impossible without this mod. To be honest, should be a part of the base game with a switch in world settings to turn it on or off.
so apparently the new update kinda brakes this mod [i say kinda because it still works everywhere BUT where im about to talk about]
so enemies now have bases, and me being the "unimaginative basement dwelling goblin" i am
see these better bases and want to claim them by building over them with a new base palbox.
turns out that doesn't work.
these new bases still restrict the building even with mods that allow you to build anywhere.
sure you can build above them or below them in rare cases but never IN them. i don't know if this is intentional or a massive bug. but it just doesn't work for me.
This mod is in no way functional, irrespective of what mods folder its placed in. ue4ss mods, regular mods, doesn't work. Game is completely worthless without this mod, so please do fix it maybe?
The native building system is so restricted and restrictive that I'd rather eat a shoe while beating my computer to death with a slipper than continue suffering this horse****.
Is there a way to get this mod to get around this restriction, I wanna replace the foundations under the box. But of course, can't do that. Or replacing the objects set beside the Expedition cave. Those are stuck too.
Hey just wanted to add for those having trouble. Can confirm these mods are working (at least on the Steam side). I am using the Experimental version of UE4SS for Palworld, along with the UE4SS Signatures from here: UE4SS Signatures Copied the mod folders to steamapps\common\Palworld\Pal\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods Just for clarification, I am only playing single player.
Thank you for all your hard work on these mods Caites!
Ok, if this is true, the instructions in the description are wrong. I suspected this might be why so many are saying it didn't work and I was confused we would need yet ANOTHER "mods" folder. The author's description says it goes in "Binaries\Win64\Mods"
Thanks for the input and another source for Signatures, this link actually tells us where to put it.
