Note: If you are having issues after using the editor, please go ahead and restore the backup saves, which are under the Palworld-Pal-Editor-Backup folder in your game save folder. It's not happening to me, but I am aware that game saves under certain conditions might not be able to load correctly after modification, and I will hopefully investigate the issue tomorrow.

Q: Xbox Game Pass? A: This is not officially supported by this tool, but you can test the method posted on my discord server #faq Sorry there is no support for XGP. Q: Virus? A: Don’t worry, it is a false positive, due to the way the Python code is packed into executables. They are automatically built by GitHub Action, you can check the code if you are still concerned.
Q: HOW TO USE IT? A: 1. Run the exe, you don't need Python since it's already bundled. 2. Put your game save path into the program. For a single-player game, it is usually located here: %localappdata%\Pal\Saved\SaveGames\YOUR STEAM ID\YOUR SAVE ID. A valid save path should contain the Level.sav file. Video
Q: I can load the save, but can't save the changes. A: If you are on Windows, and the terminal is complaining about WinError 3, it's likely due to the save path being too long. You can instead save the changes to somewhere like D:\test, then manually copy the save back to the original folder. (Yes, the path on the top left corner of the editor, which defaults to the input path, is the output path, and is editable.) Q: GUI NOT WORKING A: Don't close it, and open the URL from your browser (Chrome / Firefox): 127.0.0.1:58080 Alternatively, you can download the GUI FIX build.
Q: How to modify the config.json file / How to pass in the cli args: A: Just don't do it if you have no idea what you are doing. Double click on the .exe to run the program and that's it.
I've followed the steps, Gamepass to Steam, Used Editor, Steam to Gamepass. Cancelled Syncing, Palworld launched ingame Menu. Tried to load the world, says error message "Couldn't load the world" Is it because I've added new Passive skills or because I've put Exclusive Active skills on a different pal(but upon researching those skills can be passed down)?
I can't get this to work it claims no save file I used the following location at that location there's a folder with a string of numbers and a file called UserOptions.sav
C:\Users\myuser\AppData\Local\Pal\Saved\SaveGames
I edited my user name to myuser but otherwise exactly as posted
it gives this mesage - loadSave - Error occured: Failed to load, check path: C:\Users\myuser\AppData\Local\Pal\Saved\SaveGames
I have never used any of the editors until today because my pal got bugged when I fed it some skill fruits and it had given me some strange passive skills that didn't work. Your tool saved my favorite pal! Thanks so much!
