Theory crafting a 15 Kinetic Duelist / 5 Esoteric Blade Fighter
10d6 simple blast x4 from Vital Blade + Vital Strike feats x1.5 from Empower x2 attacks from kinetic assault, and also gets maximized = 720 damage at 0 burn
Plus the recover burn feature, should be able to use composite blast with effectively 0 burn = 1440 damage
And I have not added bonus damage from attribute modifier, weapon focus, weapon training, power attack, or critical attacks :)
Oh wow, I'm paralyzed by awesome choices. Early game, Duelist is best and coolest looking for two weapon fighting at lvl 3. Lancer gets pounce at lvl 8 and is just really fun to use. Esoteric fighter is very plain yet extremely powerful for a dex build. The capstone ability to turn your blade into a scimitar and autocrit on a 15-20 x4 with feats on a touch attack is basically autocrit on anything, moreso with Trickster.
I think I'll do Duelist since it's the coolest looking and use Bismuth to full attack. But Lancer jumping IS a lot of fun. Hrm...

dual wielding disintegration or gravity/void blades would be awesome :D
So I tried kinetic lancer and um...I can't seem to *use* it. Because the DC to use it in the tutorial caves hovers at over 100 DC....thats just to leap to the nearest centipede and attack.
Same thing happening to me, I'm trying to jump and my character just falls on his face like five feet from his start position with a DC 65 mobility check.
Thanks for the appretiation, and probably not. I'm not planning to add more contents to this mod at the moment, but if chances arise in the future I may pick it up and add a few things. There were a few archetypes I've came across and found bizarrely interesting, but didn't manage to implement, such as Elemental Annihilator, Dread Soul and Nihilicist. W.r.t. elemental ascetic, Dark Codex (another mod that adds a lot of kineticist things) has already implemented it.
So if you go gestalt with Toybox and take both Kinetic fighter archetype and kineticist class then KB dice will double right? Want to ask before jumping back for next run as I don't want to be too op.
On the other hand if I forget gestalt Idea and go multi 4 Esoteric Blade / 16 elemental engine then I can have KB with AoO and Vital/Cleaving feats and still use ranged infusions right?
How hard was this to make? There are some archetypes I'd love to put in the game (Nihilicist, Elemental Annihilator, Dimensional Ripper for starters) plus some of the 3P elements like viscera and poison, but I've never really experimented with modding.
I'd say it's a bit involved, in terms of understanding how OwlCat coded the kineticist class differently from all other classes. You are welcome to try! But expect a lot of source code digging. I wouldn't recommend trying if you don't have programming experiences though

I'm guessing the bonus damage from their ranged weapon would have to be nerfed or something though.
