Version 2.0 is out! Now with BGME framework support!
What is BGME framework? It's a framework, which allows you to replace any songs without manually editing .awb file. Less size, easier setup.
That also means you should download BGME framework to properly update this mod.
To edit any tracks you can use Phos Music Manager with encoder for it posted in mod's description. And don't forget about setting loop points, if track is looped!
This might be the last update from me since there's nothing more to do or add. With almost whole process's been simplified, everything is in your hands now, lil cabbages.
And if this mod somehow gonna be taken down, I hope there'll be twice more Adachers, who will gladly reupload it for boys because people should be able to play their bought games as they like without waiting for Fatlus to release their not-even-confirmed 30$ DLCs for 70$ game.
Games is all about having fun and vibes, right, Adachers? So burn your dread!
Made a custom version of your pack with Unavoidable Battle/Battle Hymn of the Soul, was gonna dm you this morning asking if i could upload it as Dojima for the shitpost
As I've seen some people were asking for full replacement of all songs, so, it is done. Now you can download BGM FULL, which contains whole old soundtrack. Well, ugh, except for Club Escapade, sorry, it's mid.
Curious, does the BGM FULL replace the new songs as well (i.e. It's going down now, color your night etc?), or does it just replace the rearrangements of the original soundtrack with the OG version?
Have tried for 2 days to activate mod and nothing ): Is Phos Music Manager required for it to work? If so the music manager is blank when looking at P3R. Are scripts required for this mod to work, as the BGME wiki states? Load order is currently 1. Unreal Essentials 2. BGME Framework 3. Persona 3 Reload Essentials 4. BGME Framework API 5. RYO Framework 6. Current mod (used Alaunae's method of dropping contents of this mod into a freshly made mod) Would love any help and will wait patiently because I know this will be a game changer for my experience
Update: Have gotten Phos Music Manager to work (was downloading the wrong version) but now when going to build the project it cannot locate a HCA key. Am I getting somewhere?
just got to the 3rd tartarus level and noticed its using the final tartarus levels music. dont think ive done anything to mess up the track order so im not really sure how to fix it
EDIT: nvm i just had to swap link_72.hca and link_81.hca places to get them working right
srry for late reply (。T ω T。) all u have to do is go into the mod folder and get to the list of tracks that end with .hca and rename the file named "link_72.hca" to "link_81.hca" and vice versa
that seems to work for the 3rd block, but now the 4th and 5th block has the theme like the last block, i think maybe something went wrong when the uploader did the mod?
Hi! I'm using the mod and it works pretty much perfectly... However I am having a weird issue where It's Going Down Now specifically sounds so much quieter than every other song? And even the other new songs such as the night theme are at a decent volume, specifically the new battle theme is really really quiet and idk why this is happening. Anyone else have the same issue?
Even with another song replaced it's still quiet, huh? That's interesting... must be a specific issue with that song slot in particular then. I tried increasing the DB Boost in Audacity and it made it slightly better for me, but still sounds quiet....
Yep, having this problem too seems like FES tracks have good volume but the reload tracks(colour your night for example) have a lower volume than normal with this mod, hope he fixes it EDIT: Found the solution, just delete the “system“ folder inside the BGME -> PR3 folder, this deletes the menu music but it seems to fix color your night volume, still cant find a volume fix for the battle music(it's going down) , looks like its missing 128.hca file for it
i don't think the fact that a 128.hca file is missing is the problem, like i mentioned above i replaced its going down now by getting the mass destruction FES file and renamed it link_128.hca then put in the the folder with all the music and that successfully replaced the music in game however the volume was still very low in comparison to everything else. i haven't tested colour your night cause im in tartarus in my playthrough atm and once im done in there i wont be coming back for the rest of the month so i wanted to see if someone might know a fix so i can test it in game, im not a technical guy myself so im not capable of debugging this myself because i would have no clue where to start.
I posted a comment on the BGME Framework mod page and the creator said that non-replaced tracks having lower volume is a bug that will be fixed in the next update.
Weirdly, Color Your Night doesn't sound NEARLY as quiet to me as It's Going Down Now does. And then there's what vestedsword mentioned about even replacing the track with another, it sounds quiet... so idk what's up with that For now, the band-aid fix I did was creating an .hca file for it myself and boosting it up a little bit on Audacity before creating the .wav that I used. It STILL has lower volume, but it does make it slightly better....
I downloaded this mod: https://gamebanana.com/sounds/72588
And then picked the file: 4001.hca(its going down now) from it, and rename to link_128.hca(its going down now) and then put it on this mod, I also delete the menu music(system folder)
Now the music(its going down now) have the correct volume
got a report, the update seems to have fixed the problem with its going down now at least, haven't tested colour your night. in my specific case however the replacement i did still seems to be quiet, aint a massive issue and i guess it could be a problem with the hca file and not the mod itself, on that note i tried a couple of different mods that replace its going down now separately with mixed results, one i thought was too quiet and the other sounded ok for the short time i tested it although it definitely was not at the sound levels of mass destruction. well regardless of my specific issue all seems well now unless someone else finds an issue i think we can say this is probably over and done with. thanks for the help you put in Zallanzz and everyone, hope you have a nice day.
You guys gotta streamline this or make a video tutorial lol. I mod games regularly and this is the first one I almost gave up on because I couldn't follow the process.

Appreciate you adding more tracks <3

- Remove System categories to fix lowering non-replaced BGM.
I wasn't able to test it yet, but I imagine this fixed the issue!
Regardless, here is my hca file just in case, as per SkukuyHina's request

I'm ain't moderating anything. And, I did gave a step by step tutorial on how to do it.
But I do appreciate how you do contribute to anything.
