hi, good idea exept it doesn't seems to work for me, i'm on steam with version 3.7.0.1318 i'm playing a rogue i tried downloading with vortex and manually, still nothing..
it works for me with no issues, steam version, manually installed in \PillarsOfEternity_Data\assetbundles\prefabs\objectbundle ( i think vortex dont install mods for POE on that path by default)
As the previous person said - you should install it manually by replacing existing files in your install folder of the game. To avoid potential problems make backup of your original files before doing so. For now, only Steam version of this mod is available, but it should work 100% correctly. Might add support for other platforms in the future.
After 2 Hours of fiddling around, I managed to modify the GOG files the same. Took me a while to realize, that I needed an older Version of UABE for it. xD I think it is the same as yours, but I'm not 100% certain of that. I probably won't be around to fix them should there ever be another Update though.
Anyways, was wondering if maybe you'd like those files? The files come from GOG Version: 3.7.0.1280.
Thank you for making this mod. May i ask what i would have to do to implement these changes into the .unity3d-files i already have from another mod? I'd like to merge the two but didn't find out how and what program i'd need for that yet.
To be honest I do not remember what exactly program I used in creating this mod, but I think it was UABE (Unity Asset Bundle Extractor). I remember unpacking files in question, editing them in notepad and then repacking back. I hope it helps.
Hey, nice one. But its not working for spell masteries. Theres just too many of them and i was looking forward to testing more of them without resorting to respec every single time
Thank you. As for spell masteries - I don't think I was able to change that in files I've edited. Maybe mastered spells per level can be changed somehow, but I'm not sure. Anyway, if you need more opportunities to test spells, you should be able to pick talents for extra spell use per rest for spell levels 1-4. It's not much, but with my mod you should have more than enough points to pick them all.
Thank you for your feedback. Seems like GOG PoE is using some other version of modified files which are incompatible with Steam version. Unfortunately I don't have PoE on GOG, so I'm unable to access and modify those files for this mod. :(
Mod was tested on Steam version of the game, so I have no idea if it works on Epic Games version. You can always make a backup of original files and try installing the mod to check if it works.
Which class do you play as? It may help me to replicate this problem.
Edit: I've tested all 11 classes by leveling them from scratch to level 16 and didn't find any problem. Only thing I can think of, is that you play as wizard and you learned all possible spells from grimoires, so you have no more spells left to acquire.
