Hey, thank you for your work! My data/ folder in PSTEE on linux contains only bif files, so I suppose this mod won't work with it, since it provides TIS files, right? I attempted to just drop them in the override folder, but it does not seem to have taken any effect, if I understand correctly (i still see pixelated backgrounds when i zoom in).. Is there a way to cover them to BIF files that EE expects? Or I am misunderstanding the way these files are packed?
Yes, it most certainly did not pick up these textures: https://postimg.cc/VrWDnd5k - my game vs viewing your TIS in NearInfinity.
Would really love to enjoy the game with your gorgeous background pack!
What would it take to take the original backgrounds from PS:T, and put them in the Enhanced Edition? Because the quality of the backgrounds in EE is actually worse than the original. As can be seen here: Beamdog Forum Post
I've checked, it's totally true. I have no idea if it's because they use a new image format that compresses things or something, but it looks objectively worse. I've tried simply replacing the .bif files with the old ones, but that leads to a crash, unfortunately.
EDIT: Made it happen. I just exported all the .TIS tilesets with NearInfinity from PST, then dropped them in the override folder of PSTEE. The only "downside" is, when using linear interpolation, they'll show gaps between tiles, depending on zoom factor, but when linear interpolation is disabled (I prefer that anyways) they look perfectly fine and just as nice as the originals from PST do.
