There's a new version (2a) available for download, make sure to get it! Delete your shaders folder (Prey-Luma) before upgrading, you will get a reminder warning if you fail to do so.
Running this with Real Lights mod, can't change from TAA to SMAA. Checked all the cfgs I can find, edited to SMAA, but game keeps going back to TAA. Won't change from SSR full res to half res, either.
Hi, I tried installing the latest version from the Discord 'v3 alpha 1' on Epic - followed all the instructions and it seems to be working but I can't seem to get it to recognise my save files (main menu just shows 'new game') - any idea how to workaround this? Assume this is only an issue with the Epic version.
I think it must be, because with the vanilla Epic version my saves are working fine but as soon as I apply the mod they don't. When I revert to the unmodded version they work again. Maybe the mod is causing the game to look for save data in the default Steam directory or maybe an issue with the cloudsyncing on Epic? I did also try copying my save data from the 'Prey_Epic' folder to the regular Prey folder but that did not work either. Anyway, appreciate your reply.
This guy is correct. The vanilla Epic version creates a save folder called 'C:\Users\xxx\Saved Games\Arkane Studios\Prey_Epic\'. The modded version creates a new save folder in the same location but called just 'Prey'.
If you copy the files from 'Prey_Epic' into the 'Prey' folder, it should load your saved games. If it is not working, then you have not copied the right files or copied them to the wrong location.
Nexus version doesn't work with Epic. (Would have been nice if that was mentioned on the description page).
There is an updated alpha version mentioned here in the posts, that shoud be compatible with the Epic game. Took a while to find it on the discord but here is a link to the post: https:// discord .com/channels/1161035767917850784/1262582420239286372/1351358313744437302
I gave up last time after messing with the broken dynamic res options , it kept spazing out janking rapidly between random resolutions on a static scene. I just want a simple Quality , Balanced , Performance modes or even a internal resolution slider. Has that been added yet?
There is no clear guide on how to replace dlss with fsr with optiscaler. Maybe this will help someone. I was using OptiScaler_v0.7.7-pre7_20250322 Nightly build. You need to follow the Optiscaler guide how to install the things with the exception of dxgi.dll renaming. You need to rename optiscaler.dll into dbghelp.dll and dxgi.dll from ReShade into ReShade64.dll. In OptiScaler.ini set LoadReshade = true. The optiscaler's override does not work from the optiscaler's menu, so you need to reduce the game's adaptive resolution scale.

EDIT: I had to edit the Mooncrash cfg, as well.
