Update 2.0.0 Obs: This week was supposed to be very busy for me but somehow, with luck after luck I happened to have a lot of free time, and I've recovered a bit from my sickness so I had the time to release this before I get busy again. Hope you have fun!
Update for breaking in mechanic Reduced exhaustion from attempting to pry something open with a crowbar, and added varying levels of EXP reward to the Player. If you fail, regardless of the activity, you will receive 25 XP. It goes as follows:
Garages: 120 XP
Vehicles: 100 XP
Doors: 70 XP
Windows: 40 XP
Parts Condition Highlighter The vehicle dashboard interface's icons for battery and engine will now be colored depending on their current condition. It is enabled by default, but you can disable it anytime in the options menu. Additionally, there is now a (EXPERIMENTAL) color filter option, that (HOPEFULLY) adapts the colors for those who are affected by Deuteranopia and Tritanopia. Here's the list of colors without the filter:
Can someone help me how to make the mods appear in the game list. I already did everything I put the mods in the mod folder I put a zip and uncompressed one and still nothing appears in the mod area of the game.
can you update it to v3.2.0 i saw it on steam and steam workshop downloader does not work and here it downloads as an .rar which is almost impossible to install so please fix that
Hey! the mod is working really well! Tho i have a question does the sound of trying to pry open or succesfully pry open something attract zomboids because of the sound?
It appears to work if you remove the CommonSense folder from the directory Users\[user]\Zomboid\mods\CommonSense\Contents\mods\Commonsense and place it into the main mod directory, for some reason the mod is buried inside the file of the same name.
Bulk Update from 1.4.0 > 1.9.0 This new version is up-to-date with the original on Steam. All changes are included. If you already have the mod installed, simply delete the old version and add the newest instead.
Changes List Make Sheets Since the vanilla game does not allow us to simply place certain items to cover doors and windows, this mod now allows you to convert some items into sheets. The items are:
Bath towel
All leather clothing
Ripped sheets
Compatibility Patch Added the ability for other Modders to have Common Sense allow any other equippable item to the list of items that can be used to pry stuff open. You can toggle this dynamically using the following LUA functions:
CommonSense.AddPryingTool("Module.ItemName")
CommonSense.RemovePryingTool("Module.ItemName")
Pry open Windows! You can now use a crowbar to pry open the windows of any structure, but be warned! There is a 20% chance that you will end up smashing the window open instead.
Updated Community Translations This new version includes improved translations for the following languages:
Italian, by Lore11
Russian, by Designer of Washing Machines
Polish, by ☛DOM.0☚
Spanish, by Dr. Nitropic
Mod Options You can now toggle the mechanic of prying stuff open in-game by pressing ESC, heading to Options, (Mods) and interacting with the Common Sense section. You will require the "Mod Options" mod for that to work.
Disinfecting You can now disinfect rags and bandages with Cologne. Perfumes were not included as most perfumes in real life apparently cannot be used for disinfecting anything. We'll find a use for it in time though, let me know if you have suggestions!
