1.6: - added a new PreferLooseFiles setting which gives priority to loose/unpacked files in the game folder over the files inside .rcf packages. You can now mod the files contained inside .rcf without needing to unpack the whole .rcf first as most mod guides needed you to previously, almost like a mod-loader for the game, should work with majority of files in the game but unsure if it works with all of them, any feedback is appreciated! - Added EnableDevMenu setting to enable the P1 "dev menu" option on main menu, and the tilde-key menu on pause screen
1.5.1: - added a new MaxSampleRate setting which adjusts the max sample rate supported by the game, the default value should let audio work properly across almost all audio device sample rates now, but if you notice any audio issues you can disable this by changing it to 0 - fixed FOVOffset so that negative offsets can work properly (thanks to kwqweasd for reporting!)
1.5: This adds a new FixButtonTapTickRate setting which should be able to help with the button-mashing sections when using RemoveTickRateLimit, no more needing to break your controller to hijack vehicles! (this fix may affect other things that require button-mashing, if you encounter anything that seems off with it, or any other issues that happen with RemoveTickRateLimit enabled, please let me know!)
1.4a: AMD/DXVK users: the 1.4a version should now include a fix for the AMD shadow issue (there's no option in INI for it, it'll always be enabled automatically)
I don't actually have an AMD card to check with though, so would appreciate hearing from any AMD/DXVK users that try it out!
Thank you so so very much for this fix man. This is my absolute FAVORITE game of all time and to be able to play it reliably on my machine again is an absolute treat. Been playing through it again (for the 22nd time probably by now) and having a blast all over again! Thank you-thank you-thank you!
Seems to work fine for me. Installed the game on Steam, then installed the mod, then started the game for the first time. Ran just fine and has done for about three hours of play.
It fixed the resolution issues, but my game just crashes immediately after the first custscene plays. How to fix?
EDIT : Nevermind, its an issue with the 2K texture remaster mod, not PrototypeFix. This mod actually works wonderfully!! I just dont know if the remastered textures mod is compatible with this one or not yet
EDIT 2 : Confirmed that "2K Phoenix" HD Mod is the problem.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t resolve the issue with the camera behaving oddly when moving it with the mouse. There’s a strange lag, and I’ve already tried all available speed settings with no improvement. Also, is there a way to change the FOV?
