Hey Everyone, map has now been updated for DLC2 Dark Waters!
Things of note: VOID has fixed some world generation so the .sav data generated is a lot smaller now. Before playing you can go to the following folder location and delete the old "HCttH_WorldGen_xxxxx.sav" file: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\ReadyOrNot\Saved\SaveGames
AI should work a little better but still a bit janky. This is still an issue out of my hands - Go bug VOID and maybe well get that SDK lol.
Yeah you mostly got the little lore I put into the map :P. The general lore in the level is that a past their prime actor/streamer has a home invasion. I plan to revisit it once the next update comes out to make it a little cooler.
I normally don't post comments, but this is the rare case where I just have to say good job. While this map is not big or full of action packed high energy fighting, the greatness of this map comes from the realism of having what could be called a "day to day map"; something that you can play as if you were any random officer responding to a break in situation. Please keep making things like this. With this map being a good display of your skills, I encourage you to be brave and make bigger and more technical projects.
I used to play this map a lot before Void issued all the DLC (this is a great map, BTW). After the did all the DLC, I understood that nothing was going to work unless the mod-maker had adjusted it so it would work with all the DLC, so I waited until yesterday to download ONLY those maps that were newly updated. I downloaded this and six others and extracted them the pak files to my Paks folder exactly like I used to. Never had a problem with this or any other modded map before the DLC -- the modded maps always appeared at the bottom of all the official maps on the mission selection screen. NOW none of the modded maps show up ... all I can see are the official maps, no matter what game mode. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong or how to fix this?
Hey thanks for playing the map so much! I'm not sure man, I assume one of the mods you downloaded is probably messing things up. I'd try removing all the mods and adding them 1 by 1 to see which one is causing the issue. I know my map for sure is working, so maybe start with it. If it doesn't I guess something got messed up with your install and just try to verify. If not I'd try the official or Ready or Mod discords for help.
Thanks for trying to help. I deleted ALL mods of all types, all but yours, and restarted the game ... no change. I extracted your map and installed it in the /Paks folder. Unless my memory has totally failed and I'm a total idiot, that's where mods and modded maps have always been installed. And modded maps always used to show at the bottom of the list of the official maps, but for some reason yours doesn't show up there even as the ONLY mod. OMG. Am I installing the mod wrong? Am I looking for it in the wrong place??? I get no game errors, the game itself runs perfectly and the official maps work just fine. I must be doing something wrong but darned if I know what it is.
Im really not sure man, it's probably out of my scope to help you and you'd need to ask the community Discords. Sorry I can't be much help, only other thing I'd recommend is to try verifying files on Steam as well.
This is my single favourite (non-SWAT4orNot) modded map. It feels like it should be part of the main game and I won't spoil why. Design is great, everything is challenging but fair. It's quick, it's fun, it still feels like a true SWAT situation.
Best recommendation I could give is the map feels like it fits near a certain part of the campaign storyline, so going through the campaign when I play a certain official mission before this, I hop to this map, then after completing it, I go back to the next part of the official campaign: S-Tier map.
Thanks mate, I'm glad you really enjoy it. I'm currently working on a new map that will come out with the competition deadline that'll feel a lot like this one, if not better. I plan to come back to this map in the near future and try and flesh out the scenario/lore a little better from all the things I've learnt over the past couple months.
Hey there, sorry you're having issues. This is likely a mod conflict, specifically anything that might reshade/mess with the Post Processing of the scene. The map should display the same lighting regardless of settings.
If you can open a bug report with some screenshots and a list of mods you are using this will be more helpful and I can look into it.
hi, your mission was really fun, i really enjoy these type of missions, shorter ones, house missions in general are shorter and more corners to look over and more realistic i guess.. really well made :)

Once again, thanks for the kind words!

Though for real likely a mod conflict, map is using default spawn tables
