I appreciate wanting to create your own ai balance mod, but shitting on other creators is just low.

I don't see how this guy was disrespectful, he even thanked the creator and just said he wanted something in-between due to his preference

Love the mod, it's a great middleground between no crack for AI and Vanilla.

this feels just like vanilla with the cracked bots being crack at shooting but reaction time (sometimes) is lowered whenever you FIRST enter a level

After trying No crack for AI souls version with overdose mode wich still feel easy on multiplayer, this version is the best, you are forced to play tactical and use everything of your tools, feels like a "fair version" to use it in multiplayer, very enjoyable experience
Question, are you planning of an overdose mode? wich increase the max population on all maps
    thanks!

Hey, good mod idea thanks for the work but after just completing the mindjot datacenter map I feel like suspects really don't care much for their life don't you think? They fight a lot and even when they surrender I couldn't handcuff one, they always got back up and pulled a gun from their behind. Is it the map that does this (maybe Mindjot security are secret mujahideen willing to die for servers?) or did you set some morale values too high?

You can use tasers to arrest fake surrender suspects. But, yes, suspects in this level are very unlikely to surrender anyway. I'm working in a suspect behaviour overhaul, but it needs time.

I don't see the need for this when the other modder already offers multiple difficulty levels. This doesn't feel different to his harder option apart from maybe the SWAT AI changes.

If you compare files, you will notice some important changes even when compared with these you mentioned. Thanks for your comment.

Problem is it doesn't suck tho, and basing an entire mod on distaste for someone else's rather than just making an original creation is pretty sad imo.

Some of the changes I made before even opening the referenced mod file since I always had personal gameplay mods for RoN.

But yes, I used their mod as a base for MANY changes. Some of changes I never tried to do and was good to read what they change. But the nature of gameplay mod requires experience and necessarily something to base it on. Even if this base was only vanilla, like my old personal mods. It's completely based on trial and error. There is no way to escape this, man.

But I totally respect your opinion! Cheers!

By that logic creating a mod based on vanilla parameters is sad. If you want certain changes to the game, you need to edit certain files. It's not that someone who alters said parameters has some monopoly to them.

definitely more challenging than No Crack, and yeah I gotta agree No Crack does make the suspect AI feel like zombies. Tried clearing Mindjot in a quick practice run and I'll say that the AI does feel a bit more responsive than No Crack, although I'm not sure if it's just me but the SWAT AI almost seem to have no situational awareness at times. In the end I managed to clear the map on my second try with 2 casualties.

      Good to know, man!

The only change I remember to make on Swat teammates was changing reaction times from 0ms to 200ms. But by changing that, it can cause them to be less awaraness than they should. I'll keep an eye on it!

yeah just giving some feedback so that you can better tweak the values, although everything else was still pretty good.

Have to agree, the SWAT AI are a little too dumb now, they die quite a bit in silly ways on the later levels. The default in-human reaction speed may be to cover up the way they are coded as they don't really try to get behind cover when being shot at. They will stand and take shots near doorways too often, and this change makes it tough for them to react as quickly when caught out.

Apart from that, really like all the other changes, the balance is pretty good on the later levels; not braindead easy, but also not too b.s!  Earlier levels feel easy, but IMO they should do.  I wouldn't mind trying a little more challenging version in the future, but this one also works for now.

Thanks for this feedback! I'm working on a update already. A little better reaction and accuracy time for suspects (15~20%) and 50% better reaction time for Swat teammates. I think it will fix any problem with them without make Swat T-800 killing machines with instakill all over the place.

Yes, I just did it. 2.0 version is available already. You need to delete the first version.

Thanks for the update, the SWAT AI seem better so far on 2.0 with a little testing! Still occasionally die in doorways, which I suppose is a risk with CQB, but not as much as they did before. I will keep an eye on this and let you know if my opinion changes. Suspects reactions are also better than 1.0, and a decent challenge now, but still not too cracked out.

One thing I did note however, is that suspect AI is still a bit too aware. I had one instantly spin 180 and shoot up at me when I was up high on the sniper perch on Farm, when she really shouldn't have been able to see me looking at her leaning out from cover. Wallbang fights between suspect and friendly AI that shouldn't happen are also still a thing, but I don't know if that can be fixed without Void changing the way AI see things?

Lovely mod but I must say that the AI vision is still on the broken end, while less I still get wallbanged a lot by the AI with this mod installed.
