if the mod isn't working for you try putting GunFX folder which is inside WickedHorseMan\VFX into lml instead of entire WickedHorseMan folder (worked for me)
Doesn't work for me either. Which is a shame cause I used this mod like a year ago and it worked great! I double checked and this is the only vfxweaponinfo on my system. I have overwrite checked for this file and almost first in the load order. Not sure why it refuses to work
RDR2 does take place in an alternate history and it's pretty full of anachronisms, so I guess this just makes it so that smokeless gunpowder hadn't been invented yet in 1899? Could be lore-friendly!
Hello! For some reason the mod does NOT work AT ALL. Neither the vanilla version, nor 1899 Firearms (I don't use the 1899 Firearms mod anymore). I don't use the BloodLust mod, I have Improvements In Blood installed, but it doesn't use vfxweaponinfo files and in general a quick search of the mods in the LML folder found only one single vfxweaponinfo file and it's yours. I put your mod at the very end of the download list, but it didn't help. Can you help?
Wickedhorseman do you mind if I upload an edited version of this that increases muzzle smoke? Might call it spaghettigunsmoke or something and i'll credit you for the original mod.
Mod isn't working for me for some reason, it's placed at the very bottom of LML modloader to override any other mod and no other mod uses vfxweapon info :(
Edit: Okay the mod definitely works after testing with and without it, but the smoke doesn't look as big or voluminous as shown on your description page for some reason. Can you please add an option to increase by like 100%, 150%, 200%, etc
i compared your vfxweaponinfo.ymt with vanilla one and they are strictly the same but an updated version also existed in game files. So the mod simply reverts the gun fx from the version 1.0 of the game. Rockstar probably reduce smoke effects in a patch for better performance online.
