i'm not sure what to do. i don't know how to figure this part out of the controller-service.exe
I am getting the same thing. I use PS5 Controller in game without issue. However, when I run the exe it just says: Initializaing failed to initialize controller: No device detected
this dont even read my controller tried this one too https://github.com/Killface1980/DualSense4Rockstar also dont work and on cyberpunk my mod menu keeps glitching I am starting to think theses controllers are a mistake
I want to share my solution to perfect coexistence of game's original rumble feedback and this beautiful mod. Because I couldn't sleep thinking that I'd have to choose only one of these options, and I stumbled upon this solution randomly. So, after you make sure you installed the mod and it's working properly: You'll need DualSenseX - Controller Emulation must be set to Xbox 360 - in the controller settings tab enable Enable Audio Haptics (USB only) - pick Default Audio device (I guess it can be random, I had only one option to pick from and it's neither the device I use for the game audio nor my dualsense) This lets you use the adaptive triggers, and preserves rumble feedback in ALL situations it was designed to happen.
I finally did it! You need to install it normally, double check where you have put script hook. Then open the game without any emulator, including steam Open Controller service.exe Open DSX Play with adaptive triggers and rumbling
Edit 1: It seems to be easier to use Steam emulation, since my RDR2 is Epic I opened it through steam and then followed this steps, with DSX it was very unstable
Since this solution didn't work for me, I'm going to explain how I got the default rumble feedback and haptic mod working at the same time (DualsenseX not needed, In fact, it must be closed to do it works):
1. Launch the game from Steam (if you don't have it on Steam, in my case I have it on Rockstar Launcher, just add it to Steam Library >> "Add a non-Steam game") so as to use Steam PS5 Controller emulation. 2. Go into the game and hold a weapon (THIS part is important). 3.Run "controller-service.exe". (You now have haptic feedback but no rumble.) 4.Close the Windows prompt that opens when you run "controller-service.exe".
Et voila! now you have rumble and haptic at the same time.

yea if your thinking about this controller DONT
Switching back to a normal dualsense has fixed a lot.
