    Showcase of Grapple Blocking
    Showcase of New Struggle and Takedown Animations

    [New Animations and Changes]


    - Added new mounted struggle breakout animation.
    - 2 front and 2 rear blunt execution animations added for hatchet, machete, and pistols.
    - 1 left and 1 right blunt execution animation added for hatchet, machete, and knife.
    - 1 blunt grapple execution and 1 knockout animation added for pistol and knife. Knockout animation also works with hatchet and machete.
    - New front execution animation added for blades and machetes.
    - Front and rear takedowns are now possible with Molotov.
    - You can kick with blades by pressing G or by performing counter attacks.
    - If an NPC is leaning against a wall, crouch and perform a takedown to trigger a head slam finisher.


    [Stream File]
    - The stream folder is essential for lasso struggle animations (loads update_0.ycds).
    - Includes blunt animations from online, moonshiner drunk animations, and unarmed mounted animations.
    - Also loads the online window throw animation.
    - Avoid using version.dll as it may prevent some animations from loading. It generally works fine, but let me know if you encounter major issues.


    [Grapple Attack Blocking & Changes]

    - Intimidated NPCs can be punched without player throwing them to the ground automatically if you press LMB or R2.
    - There's a chance for intimidated back grapple throws to trigger.
    - When grappled or grounded, a Block prompt appears. Blocking resets the reversal sequence and gives another chance to counter.
    - Performing a stab with a blade now knocks out enemies (front, back, mounted) rather than executing.


    Using version.dll might prevent these animations from loading so it's not recommended to use version.dll with this mod. However, if you do there shouldn't be any big problems. If you face any game breaking issues let me know.


    [New Struggle Animations]
    - Struggles work similarly to online PvP, excluding lasso and ground knife.
    - Spamming F results in a knockout; F + LMB/R2 leads to execution.
    - All animations are unique, some with escape or KO variants.
    - New struggle additions:
    - Fixed broken lasso struggle – enemy must be subdued to tie now. Works from regular tackle and facedown grapple. It also includes ability to exit the struggle.
    - New struggle idle animation for blade struggles.
    - New sequences: front rifle grapple, pistol (front and ground), blade (front and back).


    [AI Improvements]
    - AI can now perform grapple reversals.
    - AI can execute front/back armed executions and grapple or tackle during close combat.
    - AI may grapple/tackle in melee if you're not blocking.
    - AI can use new struggle animations and block grapple attacks.


    [New Configs & Abilities]
    - Enable dragging intimidated peds via .ini.
    - Change back grapple (hostage) movement style in the same file.
    - Removed NoTexts folder; toggle prompts and voice lines from .ini.
    - Disable kick function on controllers from .ini.
    - Added tougher AI file: "MCD_AI_DEFAULT_TOUGHER" — values are nearly 2x harder.
    - This data is currently used for BS_AI, but you can create and apply your own by editing pedbrawlingstyle.meta.
    - Optional files folder includes these tougher AI files for easy install.


    [Fixes and Tweaks]
    - Fixed front choke knockout ending with a regular choke.
    - New pain sounds added to various melee moves.
    - Adjusted animation blend speeds.
    - Enhanced blood particle size and visibility.
    - Fixed armed ground grapples not working properly with guns.
    - Knife dodge now works with bs_micah_finale.

    [INSTALLATION]
    Always make sure to have latest versions of both Lenny's Mod Loader and Alexander Blade's Script Hook or Script Hook V2.
    Drop
    Enhanced Brawling.asi and EnhancedBrawling.ini to your Red Dead Redemption 2 folder.

    "Enhanced Brawling" folder inside of "lml" folder to your own lml folder.

    Numpad1 / F1 = bs_player
    Numpad2 / F2 = bs_player_winter1
    Numpad3 / F3 = bs_bruiser

    Numpad0 / Z = Resets grapple animations if you're stuck or can't grapple anyone

    Right Mouse Click / Aim Button = Standing Grapple Switch
    N / Left D-PAD = Subdue Animations and Grapple Sequences

    Up Arrow / RB = Kick to the chest
    Left Arrow / RB = Kick [No Ragdoll]

    Z = Trough drowning animation (This feature doesn't work as it should, don't worry if it's not working in your game. I'll try to fix it later)

    is there a way to increase npc health in hand to hand combat? i do have pdo and realistic combat overhaul all shots cause bleedouts. would these affect the npc health? i remember there was a time when fights would go on for a while, now i knock them out easy

      It's possible to do, but my mod never increased NPC health. Maybe it was some other mod that you were using that increased their health. Also there is an optional file which you can install to make fights harder.

    Hi, is there a version of the mod that loads animations the old way that I could try using? Im having some pretty significant issues with unresponsive peds in 3.5 compared to that of 3.4

    Great work on this mod.. but its a bit overwhelming. I wish there was some lite options for people just trying to improve the default boring and awfully repetitive tackle + knife slit throat attack. What would be the best way for me to disable all that other stuff and keep a great set of fist fight moves + the best set of knife attacks always on for a regular playthrough? If at all possible ofc. My entire keyboard is already full of keybinds from the multitude of mods.. :/

    Hey do you think you'd be able to create a prone crawling animation as seen in the Pinkerton attack scene in the story when they're firing the mounted gun at the shack after Arthur and co. return from Guarma? Maybe make it so on controller you hold crouch to go prone. Hopefully you're able to adjust player visibility so it's actual useful for stealth.

    Also are there any human shield animations in the game (can't remember off the top of my head)? Would be awesome to go from grapple to human shield during shootouts.

      I have a crawling mod that I made for myself that has animations such as running, turning right, left while moving and standing and going from prone to crouching. However, I didn't release it since there is a proning mod on available already. Maybe I can release it later after working on it little bit more.

      Also using NPCs as human shield is possible. You can grapple enemies from back with this mod and move around with them with every weapon. You can also choose the movement style from the EnhancedBrawling.ini. You can also use a mod called Take NPC's Hostage. It would be cool if we could also shoot while grappling them, but there is no mod that does it yet.

      It's not complete apparently. There's turning animations but they weren't added so the character just rotates oddly whichever direction the camera is facing. Apparently there's issues with foliage collision too. The author seems to have abandoned it anyway. I'm sure you could do better. Maybe there's even animation for guns.

    Stupid question, but could this mod mess with train spawns? Since it modifies the same file and I never saw a train spawn naturally since I installed it.

      As far as I know it doesn't mess with train spawns because it doesn't load any uncompressed texture files. Also my mod only edits action files except clip_sets.ymt and propscenarios.meta.

      I don't know. I only added new objects to it so that you can perform environmental finishers on more objects. It's not a essential part of the mod.

      Sure it's weird, but I don't know much about modding, but if 2 mods use the same file, shouldn't the last loaded overwrite the other?

      If you install both on top of each other, probably first file you put there will be overwritten. However if my mod's propscenarios.meta is causing trains spawn issues you can just delete it since it won't break my mod.

      Yea I will try, but I'd rather not to, because I really like those finishers, it adds a lot unlike you might think.

      You can delete this mod's propscenario.meta or use. It's not a huge part of this mod, it just allows you to perform environmental finishers on different objects.

      It's not fixed yet because I don't know what causes it. However if you press R and F together you can break free.
