If you are having problems installing this you have done something wrong, not the mod It edits one file so unless you see an "Overwrite" prompt when installing, It will be compatible with everything!
PROPER INSTALLATION SHOULD BE IN THIS PATH! Red Dead Redemption 2\lml\replace\textures_0\textures\skydome.ytd
I also stickied the post below, seems to work for other people, I didn't have to do it for the mod to work for me
I got it to work by using the import and converted it automatically. I have to say, it is absolutely a game changer. I never comment on anything, but this warrants a vote for best mod imho. The stars are great, but that moon tho :-).
I dont know what the hell I did wrong but as soon as I installed this mod every single other mod I have has stopped working even after uninstalling this one - anyone had this happen?? all my other mod files are still there, LML recognises and says theyre active but nothing shows in game. wtf
There's definitely an issue with your mod, I've used plenty of texture mods in the past with no issue, have several installed now. But this causes RDR2 to hang after the initial loading bar.
Personally, I suspect it's because stars is 4096x4096
Apologies. I meant to come back and post on here, but I totally forgot. I was using DLSS Tweaks to change the DLL version of DLSS and I discovered later that a known issue is causing the graphics API to be locked to Directx12 which of course will crash with texture mods.
I just retried the mod, and it was totally fine, the issue was caused by the above.
How do you upscale dds files without messing up the mip maps? I'm using CodeX to view/extract .ytd files and then i extract the .dds texture files. Then in order to be able to upscale them i need to convert the .dds to .png but i think that destroys the mip maps, no?
i open the dds files in photoshop then use the image processor to bulk export everything to be upscaled. then i resize the .dds file in photoshop, drop my upscaled version on top, and delete the bottom layer/flatten image. i save it with nvidia texture tools exporter to whatever format i need. it has a "generate mipmaps" feature
edit: this is my old workflow, now I use python scripting to make it way more automated

For anyone confused, just rename the replace folder with anything you want
Then in Lenny mod loader, use the function "add downloaded file"
Works for me
in visualsettings.dat
Nope, I've done it correctly as said in sticky but this updated one is crashing the game.
bruh nvm update your sticky and make @kalypxo's the latest sticky.
